Lol at the small red heart covering up the kiss at .30! the whole narrative is disgusting! starting with :" Scandal in the USA! For the first time in the history of the BB magazine the most attractive man is GAY! According to the results of the vote this title went to Adam Lambert"... then they go into condescending, stupid talk... not translating this garbage.. reminds me of the radio station interview before Maxidrome... oh Nica but shoudn't our reaction be in context? Sure it still has that condescending tone, but for my country it's def a positive spin on the news. I personally am kinda surprised and pleased with it. Especially considering that after that stupid beginning they say: "The flirty hottie from california never made a secret of his preference, often wearing prominent eye make-up and lipstick. Seems it has worked - this sex-force is irresistible to both boys and girls."

We are having a bit of a conversation on the dark side that I would love to see over here...and is appropriate I think. If not delete away :-( We are stating our favourite tracks and what we would like to see. I just posted this: I just have to pop back in to say that I REALLY believe that Shady could be that breakthrough track. It is up at or near the top of almost everyone's list, regardless of the other track favourites. It is infectious to the max. Furthermore, [as was Fever], the cd version is at least as good, if not arguably better than the live version...and if you want it to hit on radio...the radio version has to be marvellous. Not just the live version. jmho If I had my say, I would SOOOOO release Shady...and have a few big performances with both Niles and Sam!!! that would be BREATHTAKING and knock everyone's socks off.... eta...and accompany the release with a video of them performing partially real and partially in cartoon and 3d'ish...no 'storyline...just performance I've shown Shady to people who aren't Adam or pop fans in general and they've loved it

Fans are asking over and over again on VH1 why NCOE is not on their top 20 countdown..
I know this has been answered but the answer isn't at all satisfying...in fact it's stupefying. Especially since Jim said to Adam that he,Adam, to paraphrase, was the last of the greats.. this while Adam was doing an interview on VH1.

IDK what it is going to take, but Pop radio is changing from what it was 2-3 years ago. I just looked at the Top 30 CHR songs and TWELVE of the top radio songs are from the teen heartthrob/TigerBeat crowd or are part of the latest British Invasion. I thought that Adele's popularity might bring a little sophistication to Pop music, but all it seems to have done is open the door for more artists from the UK. They are all over the charts! By the time you add in the Pitbull/Drake/Nikki Minaj/Calvin Harris collab type songs and the songs from the girl Diva combo of Rihanna/Katy Perry/Kelly Clarkson/Adele, there are very few spots left for any other types of songs. Those spots are being grabbed up by a couple of Alt. Rock crossovers and Train. There just aren't many spots on the Pop charts for white pop guys who aren't doing a Rap collab, from the UK, crossing over from Alt., or aren't teenagers. Adam is in a category that isn't getting much interests from the Pop stations at this time. :( OK so what is the next plan to get his music out. There are more ways to skin that damn cat. ??? Some random thoughts and ideas: Tour with a BIG name outside of the US. Build up his fanbase internationally by doing a major promo-small venue tour in Canada, Europe and in other parts of the world. Do tons of shows at Gay clubs and build up his gay fanbase internationally. Come back to the US and continue to do shows at Gay clubs, get involved HEAVILY by donating time and performances for LGBT charities. Co-Headline with some other artists who appeal to the LGBT community. Co-Headline with another artist for a while. Open for a Big artist in the US. It is also probably time for Adam's people to start thinking about the possibility that without radio hits, a solo tour will be mostly for the diehard fans. These are just some ideas, but the main gist is to build on his international base that is mostly young and try to establish a better support system from the gay community, starting with international support.

Sure, konata, I agree about the context - and I lack any knowledge of the current atmosphere aside from the horrible news that any expression of "gayness" is against the law in St. Pete... whatever American media covers .... may be I am not used to the tone they use in the program... it really, really rubs me the wrong way, their word choice, their intonations - all snickering and belittlement IMO...To be fair - they used the same condescending tone for Adam Levine - implying that he is gay as well, and for Biebs - mentioning his (former) pimples (I guess meaning that he is now grown up)... ...may be I am too sensitive when it comes to BB...

Fans are asking over and over again on VH1 why NCOE is not on their top 20 countdown.. I know this has been answered but the answer isn't at all satisfying...in fact it's stupefying. Especially since Jim said to Adam that he to paraphrase, was the last of the greats.. this while Adam was doing an interview on VH1. 28,233 views on VH1 Jim doesn't make the decisions on what to play. If NCOE doesn't make it to the Top 25 or higher on HAC, Top 30 or so on CHR, get in the top 50 on iTunes, or (the VERY most important thing) have huge payola behind it, it isn't going to make it onto the top 20 on VH1. The view count does not matter! How many times does this have to be said for some fans to believe it? <deleted> An artist needs to have a moderate to big hit on SOME radio format or the song has to have a huge amount of label support in the way of MONEY to get on the list! Why should some random song that has a bullet in the teens and hasn't made it to the top 30 on HAC, and hasn't even made it to the top 50 on CHR jump over everyone else's video to make it to the top 20? The only reason would be that RCA had decided that the VH1 was more important than other promo they could spend their money on. It looks as if RCA has decided not to spend promo money for Adam at VH1 at this time. Tigerlily - I know the situation is frustrating, but everyone must be polite and respectful to their fellow posters. -HSM

Although Adam himself said in a recent interview "There will definitely be another single" I have a hard time understanding how there could be unless NCOE starts taking off. And that's doubtful because of all the reasons tigerlily mentioned (UK invasion, perceived demographic, genre, Reality show alumnus and I don't completely discount homophobia in many markets). Not impossible, but doubtful. I guess I'm dragging a little bit up from the Dark Dungeon discussion but I didn't start it! ;D Just giving my .02. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kickin In, but what makes us think that any other song from the album would do any better than NCOE? But HEY - the fat lady didn't sing yet and it's not over til it's over!
