Jim doesn't make the decisions on what to play. If NCOE doesn't make it to the Top 25 or higher on HAC, Top 30 or so on CHR, get in the top 50 on iTunes, or (the VERY most important thing) have huge payola behind it, it isn't going to make it onto the top 20 on VH1. The view count does not matter! How many times does this have to be said for some fans to believe it? I'm sorry that the answer doesn't satisfy you, but that is the way it is. An artist needs to have a moderate to big hit on SOME radio format or the song has to have a huge amount of label support in the way of MONEY to get on the list! Why should some random song that has a bullet in the teens and hasn't made it to the top 30 on HAC, and hasn't even made it to the top 50 on CHR jump over everyone else's video to make it to the top 20? The only reason would be that RCA had decided that the VH1 was more important than other promo they could spend their money on. It looks as if RCA has decided not to spend promo money for Adam at VH1 at this time. Well you make sense..but it sure hurts Sorry, that was NOT the case with BTIKM just a few months ago. The Top 20 at that time sure as hell wasn't everyone that was Top 30 HAC/Top 50 CHR or higher. There were many obscure artists who were not at the top of the chart at the time and had very few spins on VH-1. The fact of the matter is the trajectory is very similar to BTIKM with VH-1. Remember, the video was only released two weeks ago last Tuesday? So the first week was totally out of course, as voting closes on Thursday or Friday. Last week and this week were the only times it could be added. I doubt they would do it the first week after release. Before BTIKM went to VH-1, he was on "10 On Top" on MTV and they discussed the video. That aired Saturday, Feb. 18. It went to VH-1 during that week. It debuted Friday, February 3. He is going to be on "10 On Top" tomorrow discussing his video. NCOE debuted May 29; tomorrow is June 16. IF it goes to VH-1 this weekend after "10 on Top," the timing will be about a week different.

I hope everyone has made their daily radio requests. Just a thought -- I think we may all be wanting way too much for Adam for this moment in time. And, it seems, because NCOE didn't blow up like a One Direction or Bieber song that some are giving up hope. Come on, guys. Adam isn't gonna blow up like them. But, he is having a very substantial career. I'm sure he is more then paying his bills. And, for now, the concentration is focused in the UK cuz he's there and getting ready for the Queen gigs. Do we really want to see a boat load of tweens screaming for Adam? I don't. And, that is the age group that the radio folks are targeting. One day they'll get smart and realize that the parents of these kids want something to listen to also. For now, I'm gonna request, buy cd's, try to make a couple of his concerts, and wait patiently for the rest of the world to catch up.

Re: Tom Cruise singing 4 octaves to quote 'adam: "...but how did it sound?" I'm calling BS on this one. I think Tom is blowing smoke up someone's butt. Or someone was blowing smoke up his.

Intro paragraph of a review of the new movie, "Rock Of Ages". Love that Adam as now been acknowledged among the list of great rock singers, as if it is a given. "NEITHER hard work nor will power can turn Tom Cruise’s voice into the steely pipes of Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler, Dennis DeYoung, Peter Cetera or Adam Lambert—that’s simply a scientific impossibility, because an exceptional voice is a special gift more than an instrument acquired through rigorous training." entertainment.inquirer.net/45255/tom-cruise-hits-all-the-right-notes I saw Cruise on The Tonight Show the other night and he said that when they tested him to see if he could sing, they found he could hit four octaves. That can't possibly be true, can it?When I sing along with Adam in the car my vocal cords stretch to all the same notes, including, just, the low one in Runnin' (that's why I'm sure his note is real ), but - how does it sound .

Right...so like I said, there is some big support behind these obscure songs. I remember that Ellie Goulding's Lights was one of the random videos that was listed during the time VH1 was playing BTIKM. It wasn't getting much play on any radio chart. Lights apparently had some BIG time support behind it because it has dropped out of and re- entered the charts and is now almost a top 10 CHR hit. VH1 doesn't just pick 20 random songs to play. They are either big hits in some way OR they have some major support in deals or money that are coming to them. If RCA has chosen to grease the palms of VH1 again this time, then we will see NCOE make an appearance on the countdown.

Re: Tom Cruise singing 4 octaves to quote 'adam: "...but how did it sound?" In another article I read, Shankman said Cruise was screaming a lot, and he had to be trained to cut out the screaming.

If he's on "10 on Top" this weekend and they don't add it by next cycle, then I'll worry.

At the Albert Hall the audience was nearly all screaming tweens who really made too much noise to hear that the people they were screaming about, couldn't sing. They didn't know quite what to make of Adam; he is, after all, a grown-up . They didn't however, chat during his performance like they did for Leona Lewis. Anyway, their parents googled Adam, asked about him and were greatly impressed. I've always wanted to see Adam in the charts because HE wants it. Perhaps, like the explosion of glitter on Glamnation that had been repressed for too long, once it's done (and I pray it happens soon) he'll get bored and move on.
