Regarding By the Rules, it's "getting all the way in" with me as well; like nica575 said, "penetrating the soul". It's crazy...

I expect Olly Murs will be getting buildup in US. He is mentioned in the new Entertainment Weekly as alternative to Bruno Mars. What upsets me is that Mr. Murs is a UK X-Factor alum. Apparently in the UK "talent show" alums do not have a problem getting radio play and so no problem selling downloads and albums. That's fine. But then they import them to the US where our own "talent show" alums are not cool enough to get airplay. Of course, the UK is resistant to the US alums while the US can't get enough of those from the UK. I guess the UK recognizes talent where ever it comes from. No labels!

May i ask a question which has been in my mind for a while? Can anyone fill me in how WWFM became a hit? How long did it take? Did it struggle for radio play as well? Cause when I first heard Adam, WWFM had been a hit already. I missed all the moments prior. Basically I just want to know if NCOE is going the similar path as WWFM and it would become a hit sooner or later. I hope I made myself clear enough... Thank you in advance You can read the whole blow by blow, here is the link to the WWFM thread at Pulse music forum which tracks the radio run. It is actually pretty interesting to read the whole development of it. Enjoy. pulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pop&action=display&thread=91199

Basically I just want to know if NCOE is going the similar path as WWFM and it would become a hit sooner or later. I hope I made myself clear enough... Thank you in advance WWFM took a long time to become a hit. This is usually the case. It was first broadcast in the US on November 18, 2009 and peaked on US radio and the Billboard charts in May, 2010 after Adam performed it on American Idol. It first became a hit in North America, Finland, AU, NZ then moved to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. It was not a hit in the UK or Japan. FYE is Adam's biggest hit in Japan. Why did it become a hit? Because people who were not fans of Adam Lambert wanted to hear it and bought it. Because a few radio PDs supported it.Because it was the right song at the right time for Adam. Probably because the Universe wanted it to be a hit. --- What can we learn from WWFM? That it pays to be patient and believe, ETA: rihannsu's answer is brilliant -- read that Pulse thread,
