Just crawling out of the rabbit hole and want to thank Tinafea for the monthly news summaries. I don't go there often because I read just about every word every day, but tonight I wanted to find a few things to send to a "new prospect" and it was so easy to find it all there. Then, of course, I stayed a little longer and looked at things I wasn't really looking for... I'm finding it really hard to decide what to send - there is so much I need to share... ;D ;D Ah thank you

May i ask a question which has been in my mind for a while? Can anyone fill me in how WWFM became a hit? How long did it take? Did it struggle for radio play as well? Cause when I first heard Adam, WWFM had been a hit already. I missed all the moments prior. Basically I just want to know if NCOE is going the similar path as WWFM and it would become a hit sooner or later. I hope I made myself clear enough... Thank you in advance WWFM flew up the charts compared to NCOE. The big stations, like Z100 added it early on, which helped it gain traction. WWFM took 5 weeks after it was released to radio to jump into the Top 40 on CHR. (from 43 to 34 in one week) At that point, WWFM had 1200 spins and a combined AI on CHR and HAC of 10 million.

Betty, this is an issue over German royalties. No way around it until there is an agreement between the GEMA and YouTube. A German court has ruled that online video platform YouTube must install filters to prevent users from uploading some music videos whose rights are held by a music-royalties collecting body.
German news agency dapd reported that the Hamburg state court on Friday mostly sided with Germany's GEMA, which represents about 60,000 German writers and musicians.
GEMA took Google Inc.'s YouTube unit to court over 12 temporarily uploaded music videos for which no royalties were paid.www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/20/youtube-germany-copyright_n_1440767.htmlThank you for the info, Q3!

What kind of music do gays like? I didn't realize sexual orientation had homogeneity in musical tastes attached to it. Does this explain why heterosexuals like 18th century opera seria?
