I just voted and Adam is ranked #7 now. How could he have slipped 2 spots in 5 minutes? And is this another one of those polls that seems silly but could have legs in the media? I just looked and it shows up for me as ranked #3. However, I honestly think we should not be spamming and treating this as just another Adam voting opportunity. This should seriously reflect gay people's vote...not glambert votes. jmho...but this is not going to do adam any good if we get a 'false' vote for him

More from the girl who ran into Adam at Whole Foods: www.soul2soulblog.com/music/pleasant-surprises-adam-lambert/Pleasant Surprises By Margarita I love surprises, the unexpected, these “out of the blue” moments, they are exciting. I had one such moment on Saturday 16 June. I was attending a Byron Katie Talk in Kensington and at lunch time decided to go get something to eat from Whole Foods – and there he was at the Salad Bar – ADAM LAMBERT! He was so sweet and he really is beautiful! I’ve watched Idols since it started in the UK and then 11 years of American Idols, and Adam is my favourite Idol to date. I simply love his voice. Now I find out he will be performing with one of my favourite Bands – Queen – at HMV Apollo in Hammersmith in July!!!! Can’t Wait. So would like to share this with all the Glamberts out there! Enjoy my Pleasant Surprise - it is worth smiling about!

I agree that the Huffington Post pole for Best Gay Anthem is one we "Glamberts" should not spam. So as much as I love to spam polls, I will refrain on this one. Of course OOL is the best anthem without a doubt IMO.

There was a huge discussion here the other day. A conversation with a d-jay basically stated tht they do not use the media forms. Texts and twitter seem to be the mode of getting songs played. Maybe we need to get the tweet accounts and text codes for all the stations and proceed with that. Kids text and twitter and don't use media base forms. They get the songs played. Let's not generalize. ONE dj from ONE station said that they tend to pay more attention to texts than Mediabase forms. [shrugs] Different stations may do things differently. I, personally, have never heard my local radio stations ask for text requests. That said. if people hear about text requests for Adam songs, lets post them here on ATOP.Thanks! The Request Adam link I posted in my original post has all the ways to request from each station, including phone, text, tweet, and facebook, also the link to the station website which sometimes has a 'contact us' or request form of some sort. www.requestadamlambert.com

To put in one sincere vote for an extremely poignant, beautiful and on-point song for the occasion is a far cry from spamming, IMO and even more relevant since it supports an out artist.

Some stations actually discard texts requests because they are hard to tabulate. The best thing is to look at your local station's website and listen to the drive-time and request programs. The stations make it clear how they want to get requests. My local KISS station wants online requests from their website, so that is what I do. Real listeners of stations know how to request. If you are not a "real" listener, then do a few minutes of research to figure it out. There are no standard methods of requesting. ETA: Do not text a request to a station that has not asked for it. Do not do anything that looks like a fan campaign. It helps to request different ways on different days. Call one day, text another, send a MB Request for once a week, etc. why people are requesting songs from stations they don't listen to?
