Adam Lambert & Queen perform triumphant debut show in Kievwww.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/adamlambert/view/49994/Adam Lambert & Queen performed their first full live show in Ukraine last night at a free benefit concert to support the fight against AIDS. The ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ star, who had previously teamed up with the legendary rock band at last year’s MTV Europe Music Awards, wowed the crowd at the Elton-John organised show in a mammoth 25-song set at Kiev's Independence Square. Kicking off with ‘Seven Seas Of Rhye,’ the American Idol runner-up raced through some of their biggest hits, including ‘Don’t Stop Me Now,’ ‘Fat-Bottomed Girls’ and ‘Who Wants To Live Forever,’ before leaving the stage to allow Roger Taylor and Brian May take the vocals for several songs. The 30-year-old then continued to prove he was the perfect choice of frontman on his return as he belted out the likes of ‘The Show Must Go On,’ ‘Radio Gaga’ and his favourite Queen classic, ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ as well as opening an emotive rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ which also featured a video of the late Freddie Mercury. Finishing with a duet with Ukranian X-Factor winner Viktor Romanchenko on ‘We Will Rock You’ and a sing-along finale of ‘We Are The Champions,’ Lambert & Queen can now look forward to their remaining shows in Moscow, Wroclaw and London. One of the Queen comments that was posted yesterday called out Keep Yourself Alive and Don't Stop Me Now as songs that were not played when Paul Rodgers was singing for them. Can one of your who know more about music theory/vocal techniques explain why those songs in particular would be hard to sing? I was listening again and I could not tell what made them different from other songs.

Thank you Adam for giving me strenght to wake up in the morning, even when I'm having the worst time of my life.... Thank you for show me what the true talent is about. Thank you for amazing voice. Thanks for everything....Adam Lambert = the King of Queen Ame.. I'm worried about you and feel so bad that you are going through a bad time.Sometimes the best times come from when one is at the lowest point. Please hang in there and remember that life is all about change... hope happier times are right around the bend for you. Ame. Melliemom is right. The one good truth I have learned from my long life is that the worst times of your life are just a prelude to the best times of your life. Why, I don't know, but it was a truth for me. Just gut it out gal. You are amazing and everything will be allright. Just wait patiently for the terrific to come.

But I am trying to watch it on my standard computer so I don't know what the problem with this video is. And I want to watch Adam sing Bohemian Rhapsody with Freddie... desperately... :D When I clicked the link you posted, it works fine for me Thank you - but I can't watch it here in Germany. Maybe I'll find a way by sneaking through the Internet ;D

This may be a meaninless poll, but Adam's made it to the end against Avril Lavigne and has been ahead until now. Too much flailing, I guess. Poll ends today. She/he uploaded Bohemian Rhapsody separately - see if you can view it

BrianMayCom @brianmaycom Brian's Soapbox July 2012: bit.ly/MzZGDo KIEV - AN AMAZING NIGHT ! - Brian May's comments and pictures from concert **Sun 1 Jul 12** KIEV - AN AMAZING NIGHT ! Well, we did one ! A show ! And … well, it is out there in cyberspace already, spinning around the world. For a first show, I think, with all its train wrecks, it was a good first outing …I was at times quite mesmerised by what Adam was doing and sometimes forgot to play !! ha ha.
He is smitten. Trainwrecks?!?!? I know from experience that performers feel and notice the oopsies more than the audience, but no trainwrecks. I didn't get the "train wreck" part either. Probably just stuff THEY knew didn't go exactly as planned but nothing the audience would notice. An amazing experience yesterday for all. I'm still on a high from it. LOL
