I felt a revival of something yesterday that had slipped away a bit...not of my love for Adam, god knows, or of my appreciation for his talent--those are always there--but of that first-impression knock-out feeling--that feeling I got when I was first introduced to him when he was singing Satisfaction--that "who the hell is that kid and where the hell did he get those balls!?!" feeling. To see Adam, after the first few moments on that massive stage realize, suddenly, I OWN THIS, break into that knowing, present, smile of his, and proceed to SLAY IT, was newly miraculous. THIS! ^^^ You put in words what I felt. On top of that, for some strange reason, the opening song "Seven Seas Of Rhye" happens to be my favorite song of Queen from my childhood. There was something about those first lyrics "fear me you lords and lady preachers i descend upon your earth from the skiesi command your very souls you unbelieversbring before me what is mine" that suited the occasion perfectly :D I had a tear rolling down my cheek, followed by many more around WWTLF which is the one song I wanted to hear ever since GNT Soaked... It was indeed like hearing AFL for the first time. ETA: Just saw this image Gelly reposted, it fits perfectly: WONDERFUL!! Is there some bigger version for this pic?

On the subject of what he wore, I completely get the decision to wear familiar stuff. With everything else on his mind, I imagine that wondering how an outfit will work out might have been just a bit much! I also think this kept anyone from claiming he was trying to copy Freddie ... these were all things he has worn many times before.

I've been reliving last night's concert today. I can't get enough of it!! If no one has taken this photo for an avi I would love to have it? Please let me know if it is already taken. Reihmer or anyone who knows how, could I ask you do make it avi size for me? I have no skills to do it. Thanks.

Been thinking about why people tend to pay attention to the negative more than the positive. Not just Adam fans, but people in general. I know I fall prey to it, worrying and thinking about the one negative student evaluation, when the other 15 were positive. Any sociologists among us who can offer an opinion? I have a theory that it is evolutionary. Positive things are nice, pleasant, but negative things can kill you. You are walking thru the forest. Bunny rabbit. Aw, cute. Squirrel. Aw, fluffy tail. Bird. Pretty colors, pretty song. Skunk. SKUNK???? Is it looking my way? Is it's tail up? Does it look upset? Back away very slowly, never looking away. What was that growl? OH, SHIT! BEAR! FREEZE. STARE. RUN!!! If, on your nature walk, you don't notice the bunny or the bird, no bid deal. If you don't notice the skunk? Misery. If you don't notice the bear? Dead. But, in our Adam stanning, we don't need to beware of lions, tigers, and bears, oh my. They can't hurt us. We are free to just look and listen to the pretty. While I respect your personal choice to do so, this is not effective for everyone and seems to be written as "advise". If we were to ignore negativity since 2009 we would not have had the victories experienced with GLAAD being forced to act on Adam's ABC (and other boycotts), and all the other tremendous strides fans have supported Adam with, non the least is getting two television creeps fired and their show cancelled a year or two ago, and just a few months ago getting GLAAD to force an apology from GQ magazine for homophobic remarks. Regarding reviews, we've gained ground there too, including apologies from media sites who were forced to admit their "reviewer" was biased, rude, homophobic or just flat out did not review the music but something else. My position has always been nature abhors a vacuum, and while it's very sweet to avoid negativity, someone has to fill the void left by haters, for example this Facebook page. If Adam's and Queen's supporters ALL comment on the thread in the positive, the haters will disappear far down or be outweighed by the positive fans. If not, it will be filled with Queen wank and hatred not to mention a complete imbalance of facts and reality...and leave Adam out on a ledge. Some people dream, others act, and the world need BOTH personalities.
