~ after the rather bumpy start, something seemed to just click. As the show progressed, Adam stopped being just the interpreter and started to OWN the songs. That must have been difficult, the respect he has for Queen almost crippling in this sense, but in order to truly shine he had to sing from his inside, guts and heart and all. Once he started doing that, the show turned from good to cosmicly brilliant. His confidence was palpable, he was the epitomy of fierce and sexy, as Scarlett tweeted, he left blood on that stage. It's the jackets .. 8-) ... kind of like Glamnation Era vs. Trespassing Era. Adam, to me, has evolved artistically in the last three years; amazingly, I saw him do the same last night, except this time it's in 2 hours' time. Intentional? :D Love 'Another One Bites the Dust' and 'Somebody to Love' ... sooo good, sooo Adam, yet so homaged QUEEN. Love the poppish interpretation of 'I Want to Break Free' a la 'Naked Love'. Love his vibe in 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' . The second half of Adam's set gives me visions of his TRESPASSING Tour ... and I like it. 8-)

Just watched the concert again from start to finish for the second time, and it was even better than the first time! I don't even have any words! Luckily, some of you have beautifully expressed them for me.
What a great moment for Adam!
I never followed Queen much before Adam, but after hearing so many references to Freddie, I went back and watched you tubes of performances and fell in love with him, too.
Two incredible singers and performers!
Beautiful!

Looks like there are 3 dif sets of downloads. The last set doesn't link for me. I'm trying the middle set of rar files, but each of the 5 parts looks like it's gonna take 3 or more hours. From twitter, sounds like terra is working on some big downloads. Might be best to wait and see whether she shares.

In what song do you think it is that Brian May "forgot to play"? I thought it was Another One Bites the Dust. And for me, today will be another down the rabbit hole day. I want to watch the concert again and check out reviews. July will be a killer with 5 more Adam/Queen concerts. My guess is I will get absolutely nothing done for about 10 to 12 days. Thanks - . Not to be a PIA, but during the sing-back part or at the end when Adam's dancing?

A German review that gives Trespassing 4/5 stars www.enemy.at/cms/index.php/cd-reviews/1384-in-arbeit-adam-lambert-trespassingHave my heart and mind full of this wonderful concert in Kiev and will post something later about that, but just wanted to let you know that I am working on translating that Austrian article right now, because this one deserves better than the googlish we got so far and a few explanations are needed too. So, if none of the other Germans on this site are doing this, then I got it right now.

THIS IS MAGIC. The colors. The lights sparkling and falling across the massive crowd... The song itself, of course. But right at the beginning, is the crowd chanting ADAM, ADAM, ADAM? They're chanting something!!! I went to u-tube and listened to Freddie sing this song. As much as I love Freddie and Queen, Adam sang circles around Freddie. Don't throw eggs at me, it's just my opinion.

I was thinking of taking a stab if I had extra time today, but I have a feeling that work is going to take longer than expected.

I cannot stop watching Who Wants to Live Forever!!! OMG< OMG>>>>There are no words.... Me, too. Hadn't heard the song before. Got curious and went on YT to hear other versions of it. Not surprisingly, I love Adam's the most. Sarah Brightman sang an exquisite version but all at the same emotional level. No build, no power. Pretty, but emotionally quiet. Another tenor sang it very well, also, with a very classical sound throughout. But it lacked a certain raw power and anguish. Then, there were a couple of rock sounding versions, sung in a lower key, with power but with no tenderness or finesse. Adam does his signature work on this song. He builds the story line to a climax and then resolves it. His voice is stellar for this ballad, warm, rich, yet with a light touch in the beginning and the ending. Revving to megawatt power at the climax. Shaping and changing the tone throughout to express the deep emotions. For me, this is a masterclass on how to sing this type of ballad. I need a professionally recorded concert DVD/CD for this song alone.

Smokeyvera, I'll stand right beside you dodging eggs, because Adam DID outsing Freddie here - and on The Show Must Go On, too!
