New vow -- I will make my daily radio requests without fail -- damn if I'm gonna let the radio industry kick Adam's ass to the curb -- he works too hard and is too damn good.

On BoRap, at the moment they all get back on stage, Adam does this jump and back arch, it's so awesome, I wish I could see it better! I also wish I could remember where else he did it. I'm sure there's a picture of him back-arching like that. Or am I hallucinating? Fantasy Springs! I'm sure someone has that pic saved!

Okay, I'll try again. I asked several hours ago. I don't have time to read the threads. I did watch the live stream. The youtube on the first page does not work for me. If anyone replies to me in this thread, I probably will miss it. Will someone please please pm me a link/links to watch the concert again. Please. At this point, I'm not certain I have every YouTube. I'm posting vids here: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=tres&thread=980&page=1#264997All other links are on the same page.

Any TRUE Queen fan and not simply a Freddie fanatic, will have to admit Roger and Brian KILLED it last night !! What can I say about Brian's playing... my gawd, he was on fire !! and running around the stage as much if not more than Adam. He seemed so full of joy...this was Queen again. Exactly! Goodness knows it takes a lot for me to think of anything but Adam while he's performing, but rewatching Kiev - and even while it was live - kept thinking: ROCK ' N ROLL!!! This was serious, world class Rock 'n Roll. Brilliant musicians playing with enthusiasm at the top of their game. Lush, gorgeous, loud, brilliant wall of sound Rock 'n Roll. And while I do understand why some Queen fans just wanna pout - shoot, even hearing someone cover Adam's Idol covers makes me a little ruffled - where do they think they're going to get this kind of of magic? If they want real Queen playing fresh, new, live, brilliant Rock 'n Roll - they got it. Maybe in 10 or 20 years Roger and Brian won't be at the top of their game, but, damn, they sure are now. So maybe after a few more astonishing shows, all the Queen fans will realize what a wonderful gift this is. Here's a comment from someone on the Classic Rock Board that's just wonderful: "I've been a diehard Queen fan for years (my avi is Freddie Mercury Lily) and have to admit to being a purist, but will also confess to succumbing to the talents of Adam Lambert despite many years of hating everyone who sang with Queen. Who Wants to Live Forever pretty much won me over. I loved seeing Queen perform and thought Lambert did Freddie proud (never thought those words would be said by me). Brian and Roger still have it - they were both awesome! Really enjoyed Under Pressure with Roger...always loved that song with Bowie. Great to hear the Show Must Go On done so beautifully. So many of my favorites were included. Really wish they would come to the US so I could see them live."
It's on this page ultimateclassicrock.com/queen-rock-kiev-with-adam-lambert/ If you're a member of that board, click and like. I think most Queen fans want the music to be performed and kept alive/evolving. But there are some Queen fans who will not let the past go -- ever. Sometimes I think even Freddie could not meet their expectations. <And I wonder how many of these "originalists" actually saw Queen with Freddie -- many seem to young.> I do not think it is very likely that Brian or Roger are doing concert tours in 10 years. Brian is 64, Roger is 62. Brian was on fire last night and as good as he has been in the past 20 years. And Roger's vocals were great but was not his old self on drums. I am so happy this collaboration happened before Brian and Roger retired. And I secretly would love to see John Deacon return for the London shows. (I do not expect it, but I can still wish.)

I read some 'his voice is just not strong enough' criticisms on the Queen site which we all know is absolute crap. Still I often wondered if Adam's mic was turned up enough as Brian and Roger seemed to come across louder. If not could it be that there is something about Adam's voice that doesn't translate on the TV dry feed? On this audience video it comes across as powerful as ever; I remember at the EMA's the 'voice not strong enough' was said but the audience video's refuted this. It may be that Adam is still trying hard to blend in with the others' voices and not blast them off the stage, comparatively. Like other things, I'm sure this will balance out as they get more experienced singing together. Speaking of...did anyone else hear a still-miked Adam at the very end while the credits were rolling saying something in response to Brian? about, "That's okay, we'll work it out," or words to that effect?

FS doesn't include the jump though 8-) I really wish the camera focused on him at that moment (and other moments...)

I am going to try and screen cap my favourite moment of the concert - is when during Bo Rhap after the taped operatic piece the band kicks back in and Adam comes flying back onto stage and does a massive on his toes back bend right when music explodes back in for last section. Is totally filled with joy, rock star owning it moment. Just loved it.
