Terra's huge 4+GB 720 file is ready to DL. Don't know whether to go ahead with it or wait for feedback as to the quality/sound.

Like so many others rewatching the concert. I am still having the same goosebumps go up my spine. When the transition occurs after Adam sings WWTLF, Roger says "Adam Lambert" and then "Its a Kind of Magic". Is he introducing the song or making a statement about Adam (both, probably).

Just to explain my comment about ABTD sounding a bit off -- I mean "off" as in different, not as in bad. I find the segment beginning with I Want to Break Free, AOBTD, .. then Somebody to Love an interesting development, if you will, for this concert. Adam talked about green light, red light, yellow light from B&R regarding song interpretation, and I wonder if there was a rather intelligent (from Adam) and generous (from B&M) compromise here. Adam's mission is TRESPASSING. Even though he is singing with QUEEN, the artist/businessman in him still puts TRESPASSING as his #1 priority. The music of QUEEN and the sounds of TRESPASSING are different. Some mentioned that Adam might not gain many fans for TRESPASSING doing these concerts since QUEEN gigs would attract a rock oriented audience. That's probably true. However, if you watch the audience during Adam's first set and his second set, there seems to be a change in reception (to me anyways), especially when he started to 'let loose' and 'break free' and became more Adam Lambert with the above three songs. Some in audience might have gone WTF, some might have thought Hmm..., and some might have become intrigued enough to look him up. It's Adam's way of gently 'separating' himself from QUEEN and shows people what kind of artist and showman Adam Lambert is. And this, IMO, was allowed a green/yellow light from B&R to happen in the second half of the concert. Watch Roger's face and what he exclaimed to himself at the end of I Want to Break Free. It's trust given and earned. IMO. 8-) |

I am so happy this collaboration happened before Brian and Roger retired. And I secretly would love to see John Deacon return for the London shows. (I do not expect it, but I can still wish.) Wishing with you. Saw a Queen board person say similar. Would be great. Tho will settle for a Nile Rodgers guest slot. Which includes Queen trading a song or two from Trespassing for Adam agreeing to another 8 or 10 global arenas. Hey, fantasy life is limitless. And I saw some Queen board person say, oh, I thought they would do one or two of Lambert's songs. Though imagine the wailing and protests if Queen actually rocked wild and free on Kickin In. |

I just watched the whole concert again and it was even better than the live stream as I noticed so many more things. For example his little Elvis lip curl at the beginning of CLTCL !!

I am going to try and screen cap my favourite moment of the concert - is when during Bo Rhap after the taped operatic piece the band kicks back in and Adam comes flying back onto stage and does a massive on his toes back bend right when music explodes back in for last section. Is totally filled with joy, rock star owning it moment. Just loved it.  THANK YOU! That's the one. |
