His lack of radio play (and therefore sales) in the US will have an impact on his international success as well unfortunately. Way to sink good music, US Radio.
The album has gotten good reviews however and that might be enough to pull it up in spite of the US. It's doing pretty well on UK sales chart on first day - #23 (#6 pop). NCOE is #15.

Ijust read the UK Radio Airplay CHart for last week, ending July 8 He's at #97 down two spins.
THis is just so frustrating.
Why the lack of U S radio play? I can't beleive this. it's insane.

I hate to see the UK airplay going down---but, a good showing on UK iTunes should change this, right? Is that the goal of the big UK iTunes push? Top ten position equals more radio play?

That UK Radio Chart is based on impact (AI) not spins.
Carrie's Blown Away is #71 with only 51 spins but 12.52m impact.
Adam's NCOE is #97 with 605 spins but only 9.17m impact.
That must mean that BA is being spun by R1 or R2 and at high impact times and NCOE (which is not being spun by R1 or R2) is being spun at low impact times.
Radio experts - correct me if I'm wrong!But yes, it sucks. |

myspenser - Do we still request NCOE since it's been purged? Gawd I can't believe this.I'd say keep requesting on Top 40 and your local stations no matter if it is HAC or Top 40. |
