OH, OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by momtomany
Adam's crystal voice would have shattered glass - if there had been any in that huge venue!
He pranced through the performance - yes, he even twirled! Arms outstretched, he threw his head back in sacrifice to music. He served you and me every fiber of his love and devoured our reciprocal energy like a wolf. Such a feast!
After the performance, as we were leaving the venue, a very handsome young man stopped us, needing to tell us something. First, he asked where we were from; then said he had been to the concert. I asked him what he thought of Adam Lambert. "He is magical; he has magic around him and he shared that magic with me. I felt his magic." He just had to tell someone!
Wish I could write more now, but the wake-up call for our flight will jar me into reality in just four short hours. You will see videos!
A magnificent creature reached into my core, again, tonight - I'm still alive; thrilled, breathless, spent and tortured by the exquisite memory!
Today at 12:14am, momtomany wrote more:
Here in the Moscow airport. It's 8:15AM - I've had about 45 minutes of sleep, due to severe Adam F. Lambert insomnia - snippets spinning round and round in my head!
While I wait for boarding, I'll have a cold beer (it's gotta be 5PM somewhere) and try to send out a brief recap. I previously mentioned something about the fabulousness of it all, so now I'll try to reign thoughts in and be a little more practical!
Met up with JanuarySnow, Catz and Vecadam for lunch in Red Square (!!). Actually, they all came to my hotel to pick me (and DH) up so we wouldn't get lost! It was my first time meeting everyone, but they felt like old friends from the start. We spent the entire afternoon sharing Adam stories and travel tales - and then returned to our prospective hotels to get ready for the big evening! We traveled to the venue via Moscow Metro. What a speedy way to get around!
Moscow's Olympic Stadium is, well, HUGE. Even with a big crowd, the place did not fill up for the show. We found a tiny table selling CDs and t-shirts, and I got one of the black ones with the concert dates on the back - yay! I think they sold out pretty quick. Funny thing, I wanted to buy a size large, but the salesgirl wouldn't let me!! She absolutely refused to sell me an 'L'; saying it would be too big. Didn't know whether to be flattered or PO'd! As I stepped away from the sales table, I stepped into a bright light, and was suddenly part of a TV interview. They must have heard me speaking English . . . and I have no idea whether it showed on the late news or not. But it was fun! Joyfully confessed I was there from the SF Bay Area to see Adam!
Catz and I searched in vain for a cocktail, a beer, wine, anything . . . . but couldn't find a bar in the entire cavernous place! We all were seated in 'VIP' - which was about 50 yards from the stage. 'VIP' was rows of chairs on an elevated deck, with a conglomeration of cameras and sound equipment in-between. It was pretty far from the stage; especially considering the cost of the tickets. Certainly, far enough away that I never saw the crotch grab or the bare feet! Fan zone was just packed with guys and girls in equal numbers; most looking like 20-somethings. Many girls in stiletto heels. I have no idea how they stood erect through the whole show!
Sound problems continue. Roger's mic wasn't on as he introduced Rufus at the beginning of 'Under Pressure', and Brian's mic didn't work when he began stage banter before introducing the Russian singer. One of Brian's guitar solos was so loud I couldn't hear any individual notes, and - I just have to say it - I think the sound guys are still working on the right mic volume/sound for Adam. Remember when Adam said, regarding Jessica on this year's Idol, that "she needs to be given a mic that can handle the size of her voice" - well, I think they must be on the hunt for one that can handle the sheer enormity of Adam's voice when he lets it fly. I wonder if such a mic exists?? I don't know what occurred during "Dragon", because Adam was sailing around the stage, sounding great and fierce as hell . . . then he pirouetted with the mic stand, waltzed over to Brian, "exited stage left". Both were gone for several minutes while the bass player soloed.
All of these little glitches were left in the dust as the show just soared upward and upward to the encores - which, by the way, was when I was FINALLY ABLE TO STAND UP!!!!! We were not allowed to stand in VIP!!!!!!! I'm pretty sure that if EVERYONE stood at the beginning of the show it would have been okay; but since NOBODY BUT ME in the entire section stood up, I was politely directed to sit by the security guy. Rats!! There were moments I couldn't believe I had to stay glued to my chair! Believe me, I gave chair-dancing a workout - clapped with hands high above my head, and when I stood, briefly, to give Adam a well-deserved howl and standing ovation, I accidentally whacked the woman in front of me. When the encore began, I had enough, and said loudly (in a language most couldn't understand, of course!) "I'm up for the rest, and that's it!!" Before I knew it, the whole section was on its feet. About fucking time!!
Wish I could have understood what everyone said as we left the show. Our little group of Adamtopians was ecstatic; a young Russian man said Adam brought him 'magic'; and a teenage girl & her dad, who I met briefly before the show, thought Adam was 'a fantastic singer'. This same young woman told me, earlier, that "Russians don't like Adam Lambert because he is gay and they don't think Freddie was gay". That's when I told her that maybe she won't like me because my eyes are blue.
After the show, we found a place to visit and laugh and decompress from the awesome sauce. Made it back to our hotel just before the 1AM shutdown of the Metro. Didn't need videos yet, and still don't. They are playing in my head, over and over; I just worry that if I close my eyes and listen I may miss my flight!
There you have it, dear Adamtopians! One of the things we all talked about yesterday was the wonderful, international home we have here.
Q3 - everyone - without you I wouldn't have spent yesterday with friends from New Zealand, Russia, South Africa; friends who understand my heart and who delightfully share this rabbit hole!

Тогда тандем исполнил легендарный хит "We Are the Champions".

Today the olympiiski» for the first time in Moscow will be along Queen and singer Adam Lambert. Company performers on one song is Russian rock star Zemfira, who previously sang with rock legends on stage the now defunct ceremony "MTV Russia Music Awards" in 2004 year. Then tandem performed the legendary hit "We Are the Champions".
Interestingly, the Queen and Adam Lamerta also binds other ceremony "MTV"--last year, the musicians played together at the MTV EMA Awards ". Their first joint show took place at the talent show "American Idol."
We remind that the concert was held on June 30 this year, but was moved by British rockers. It is expected that the Queen and Adam Lambert will be able to assemble a complete sell-out, although today still have tickets.
ADAM’S A RETRO FAN
Daily Star 4th July 2012 By Kim Dawson
CHART star Adam Lambert has praised Lady Gaga’s skill at recycling bygone pop styles and has revealed he adopted a similar method to make his new album.
Trespassing drops here next week after going straight to No 1 in America, along with first single Never Close Our Eyes.
Adam told me: “My album is dance music, but it’s a different breed of dance than the mainstream right now.
“It’s not Eurodance but more retro and disco.
“We dressed it up in a modern way and made it sound current as I love when pop music references things. That’s the post-modern age we’re living in.
“The thing I love about Lady Gaga is she’s so clever at doing that, putting it in a blender and making it her own.
“It takes a lot of talent to achieve that.
“The fashion right now is all about referencing something and using that as a jump-off point, and I believe good pop music does that.”
Adam, who performs at London’s HMV Hammersmith Apollo next week with Queen, is relishing steering his career down the path he believes in.
The 30-year-old added: “I had time to dive into the process and got to co-write on most of the tracks from the album as well as executive produce this time.
“I was able to sit in the driver’s seat creatively, so I became involved with the artwork, the track listing and spent a year and a half on the album.
“I invested my time as if it was a baby – an 18-month-old baby.
“It felt like the hard work paid off when it went to No 1 in America.
“Whoever you are, you will like something on the album. I think it’s very infectious and very feel-good.”

Adam Lambert and Queen Rock the Ukraine (Video)
The "American Idol" season 8 runner-up triumphs at the band's Kiev show and inspires a flash mob of Glamberts to take to the streets in Moscow.
3:00 AM PDT 7/3/2012 by Michele Amabile Angermiller
When it comes to Adam Lambert's multitude of diehard fans, sharing is caring, which is reason enough for one such Glambert to upload to YouTube all two hours of Queen's Ukraine show on June 30, featuring the American Idol season 8 runner-up as frontman.
No stranger to the music of Queen, having sung a medley of the iconic band's hits with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor at the MTV Europe Awards in 2011, Lambert truly shined on this stage -- much like the late Queen singer Freddie Mercury did with his rousing performances.
Clad in a spiked black leather jacket and exploding with the spirit of arena rock, Lambert kicked off a triumphant evening (the show was part of a joint concert with Elton John to benefit the Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation) with a command: “This is rock 'n' roll, I want to see some ass!”
Confident and assuredly in control, Lambert led the crowd through an exhilarating version of the group’s “Fat Bottomed Girls," shring an undeniable chemistry with May and leading the raucous Kiev crowd through a majestic two-hour extravaganza that included an action-packed set list of Queen hits and deep cuts.
Lambert hit his stride early in the show, trading vocals with Taylor on “Under Pressure.” He then effortlessly segued from big rock anthems including “I Want It All” to poignant renderings of introspectively aching pieces, like his soaring interpretation of “Who Wants to Live Forever?” Lambert’s voice and impassioned delivery brought just the right tone of longing and introspection to the lyrics, and his connection to the song and his audience grew even stronger with each verse.
To his credit, Lambert chose not to re-create or even mimic Mercury. His performance was purely his own, with a reverent nod to the man who created such timeless tunes. Even better, Lambert hit all the Mercury glory notes -- “Somebody to Love,” in particular, sounded sublime -- while retaining the necessary showmanship needed to properly perform what can easily be classified as a night at the rock opera. His “Bohemian Rhapsody” was a stunning display of what a musical theater background can do when given the opportunity to interpret a song fully. He leaned on his Wicked days and even channeling Elvis Presley with the requisite sneers on "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," and by the time the band wrapped with “We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions,” the crowd was brandishing their glow sticks in unity and solidarity.
The tour continues Tuesday at the Olympic Arena in Moscow, with stops also scheduled for Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw, Poland, on July 7 and three dates at London's Hammersmith Apollo on July 11, 12 and 14.
In other Lambert news, an army of Glamberts re-created the title track of his latest album, Trespassing, in a carefully orchestrated flash mob on one of the most popular streets in Moscow: Arbat Street. The dancers came from a fan group that's 24,000 strong and includes Glamberts from Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine.
