A non-professional comment: Adam sang the Kiev performance "full body". I heard Pavarotti sing live unmiked - you hear a sound that is unbelievable. Adam ended each note full on. Moscow was sung above the diaphragm for the most part. He played with the notes, he squeezed them into many shapes. It was his Broadway performance. In Moscow, "Who wants to Live Forever" at the end with almost no air flow he shot "ours" into the air and hit perfect pitch round and full and very high. Totally blew me away. So now in Poland we can be begin to wonder who will he be, how will he "play" it and us. I've been fretting over how to ask this question for days now. I have no music knowledge but can usually hear notes pretty well. Was that same note in Kiev actually the same ???. My first gut feel was that in Kiev it was flat, or just not what I expected. As he held it so strongly without adjusting, the band sound seemed to come 'to' it and it felt less off than at first. Everybody, including me, adored that performance and no-one commented on anything so I felt I was wrong. Can anyone explain to me please what the difference was :-[. I heard the same thing but thought he was slightly sharp then corrected. Perhaps we could take this to the vocal masterclass thread.
