I didn't find the right place where to write this, but I would love to meet atops on the 12th in London.
Is there already a gathering planned for all the atoppers attending the Thursday concert at HMV?
Slowly but steadily I'm getting nervous and excited with all the wonderful messages and videos from Kiev and Moscow.
What a happy little Glambert I am ;D

I always post here with disjointed thoughts. I'll be going about my day and then think of something that someone posted and while I'm singing Somebody to Love in my head I sit down to type. Anyways, this one thing has been on my mind. Sometimes I think we all over analyze. I hope we are all really just sitting back and enjoying the moment and loving the videos and watching this experience unfold. When I read that we are a little "overboard" with our "take" on the performances, I say, so what! We're stanning, that is all. Who cares. What is there to compare these performances against. Freddie? Paul? How can one really do that? Adam is not trying to be them. I think he's doing a great job being himself and bringing his interpretation to the stage. How much practice did this group actually have together -- something like 5 days? I hope for everyone else this whole thing is just simply GREAT FUN. Like Mr. Lambert remarks on many occasions, "It's not that deep!" As for Roger and Dr. May, good for you wanting to continue to play your music. I'm sure not a performance goes by where Freddie is not filling their hearts. They lived his death. Perhaps playing this music is a celebration of his life for them. In any case, I'm waking up in the morning singing songs I was singing "back in the day". It's a thrill! Well...i'm waay back , not able to catch up as RL is also gong on, but SlapDash this is a reminder for all of us. The pure joy in watching all involved in the Queen/Adam collaboration does my heart good. I've been a major Queen fan for years, raising my kids on the songs, devasted when the genius of Freddie Mercury passed away but I can honestly say I've never had an issue with others performing the songs. In fact, my wish has always been that we fans would hear new music and the Queen unique sound would NOT die with Freddie. We've only had 2 concerts (the EMA's was a different ball game) and tho' everything re Adam is analyzed to death, I for one am incredibly grateful for the talent, voice and personality of AFL !! No one can deny the excitement emanating from Roger and Brian...and Adam is in another world connecting with a non-English speaking audience ! Roger has a great platform for his son Rufus....Brian has one for his ...what shall we say...lol...BFF !!! :wub: My heart is full :2tears: |

Yes, he did the same thing in Kiev... Adam was standing on the side and you'll notice Brian's head movement as if he wanted Adam to come in and join him, which he eventually did. This time Adam was not around so he kept roaming the stage to find him. ;D Adam ended that song in Kiev and this time probably BM wants some vocal rest so Adam can take over ... just speculation on my part ;D |
