Hi TalonIn your comment that the hard-core fans that were against PR are now wanting him back ... do they want him back because they think he's better than Adam? And thank you for mentioning Bijou ... one of my all-time favorites. Thanks! As for PR - I think many Queen fans think PR is more worthy given his own legendary background with Free/Bad Company and work with Jimmy Page and others - he's on more of the same footing than Adam who they look upon as a Reality show contestant with no real history. One step up from Joe Schmoe - I'm not quite at that level but I do understand the idea that Paul has proven himself for quite bit longer. Adam still has some things left to prove...he could though Hi talon! Welcome! As new to Queen, I'm curious why you think the Queen & Adam shows are not a "home run"? It's interesting to hear the other perspective. I'm enjoying hearing Adam sing some of their songs I have never heard before. Thanks! From my perspective it wasn't quite a home run for a few reasons. I don't know if it was nerves or what but I thought he was quite pitchy during some of the Kiev performance (I was very disappointed in The Show Must Go On for example) - I will admit that he seemed much more in tune in Moscow) I also think that Adam does not have a true rock voice. He's got GREAT range no doubt - a few too many diva runs for my taste ...But his voice can be a bit thin at times especially when singing in front of the massive sound of Queen. It's hard to explain to be honest. Mostly it's during the rockingest numbers. His ballads are superb. AND Here is the link to the FLAC upload of the whole concert - seamless without transitions as it's not converted from You Tube videos: www.mediafire.com/#ytz6inwt9jq8pThanks for your perspective!

MTV Moscow news blog, interview and coverage Gelly... we'd need some translation about this interview and about that another one ... :-/ here we go: [my own words] 00- 0:11 AWAITED CONCERT OF Queen and Adam Lambert finally took place. The singer declined the sightseeing tour but instead he met with the fans…[really???] :11-0:20 the fans lined up at the stadium several hours before the show. 20 thousand people snatched the tickets months in advance, with the prices being as high as 30,000 rubles [approx $1000], but the fans knew what they were paying for. 0:26 - The applauds erupted every time Freddie Mercury’s image appeared on the screen. The legendary singer passed away 20 years ago but he still commands enormous applauds. 0:46 – the new front man is Adam Lambert, 4 octave voice range, and no hint of copying Freddie. He performs the hits in such a way that it is hard to recognize even the most famous ones … 1:00 – off stage Adam comes across as a modest lad…He rushes in for the interview and starts bragging right away: “yesterday I went shopping and liked it a lot. I bought this jacket. My yellow t-shirt is like yours… 1:21 – singer’s modesty extends to his rider…there were no requests for golden toilets or special bedding.. “Everyone in Russia asks me about the rider…why is it so interesting? My rider is nothing special, I need water, tea, fruits and vegetables…that about it…nothing crazy” 1:40 – Adam proved his love for veggies right away – he crunches on a carrot and has a tomato, ignoring the closely placed alcohol 1:48 he dreamt about fame and fortune since his childhood…he guards his success with all kinds of means: [discussion about the meaning of every tattoo..] 2:12 – while Adam is the main hero of the show, Zemphira is the special guest.. {some words about her]… 2:32 – the break for Lambert did not last long. [after Zemphira] He was on the stage until the end. 2:50 – the show can be compared to a multi course meal: one might not have liked every dish but everyone left being full… while the fans were divided before the show into a Queen camp and a Lambert camp – after the show they were united 3:06 – the best day in my life…the best concert ever…[etc…] 3:18 – the fans of the temporary collaboration of Queen and Lambert, aka Queenberts, will follow the group to the next concert in Poland. The tour will conclude in London, after which Lambert will continue his personal career.

Thanks for the translation, Nica!
So they say there were 20,000 tickets sold for Moscow. Have we seen numbers anywhere else?
And I may have to start a special folder for "Adam eating carrots".
ETA - I see that Houselady's article mentions 27-28K tickets were sold.
