One of the things I think about as I watch Queenbert is Adam's hometown band. Queen is beyond amazing. Dr. May finesses that guitar like Don Juan and his lover. Roger and Rufus have both youth and experience to give the drums/percussion some serious mojo and although the bassist and keyboards are not very front and center, they provide such a solid backing to the band ... enough that they can fly. Adam said that he does not worry too much about singing Queen's songs because he knows that people love them but you have to know that being in a band that has a level of talent comparable to his own must give him ideas. Adam is loyal and realistic but if I were Tommy Jo, Isaac, Ashley, and Brian London, I would be practicing really hard right now. Just a thought, should I be dodging tomatoes.  |

Have to travel for next couple of days so will miss Saturday's concert, but I know there will be lots of great videos & pictures when I return.

It is on the HAC charts and will probably cross over to Top 40. I think it is a perfect example, though, of how right now... there is no distinct Top 40 sound , IMO. So many unusual songs are out and making it! My soapbox for why "Shady" could make it! ;D Is there room for two on that soapbox because I really believe that RCA should have stepped outside the box. |

I second that! Thinking about those guys at the Moscow concert who were so surprised by Adam's muscularity when he came on stage in his tank top. Guess they were expecting someone as "flamboyant" as Adam to be a little wispy guy, built kinda like Cheeks. Stereotypes!
Sauli may be small, but he's no wisp either.I've never thought he looked too skinny. There is a difference in being "slim" and skinny and I never got the skinny description! Several people who met him at recent meet and greets used 'really skinny' (look at all the sagging pants that used to be tight) BUT 'glowing and healthy' - he has lost a substantial amount of weight - he is perfect (to me) and hope he stops (not that it's any of my business) - Sauli looks nicely muscular but thin - especially in some of the Helsinki photos, but it could have just been tiredness and jetlag- maybe someone who has met him in RL can comment on that ? (slow day ;D ) |
