no tomatoes from me... I posted very similar "thoughts" yesterday - i just can't imagine how Adam will go back to playing with Tommy... Sorry I missed that because I would have been right there supporting you. One other thought, I am so glad that Adam is benefiting from the years of experience provided by Brian and Roger. They know that radio is fickle and I believe that Adam is receiving extremely positive encouragement from them to continue to travel his own path. I don't think he would have had the confidence to confess that performing his own songs can be more fraught with worry if he had not had that positive feedback from Brian and Roger. This thought makes me happy. Seriously, I'm a staunch believer in mentorship -- did Adam luck out or what?!

(But they've had many more number ones in the U.K. and other countries.) Also, Led Zeppelin (one of my other all-time favorite bands) NEVER had a number one song in the U.S. or the U.K., and only six of their songs broke the U.S. top 40 - but Stairway to Heaven is reputedly the most requested song of all time. So radio spins aren't required for long-term success, ladies and gentlemen! Believe it or not Aerosmith didn't have a #1 top 40 hit until the Armageddon theme song "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing".

I know how Adam could sing with Queen at the Olympic closing ceremonies. They simply have to introduce him as "guest colonist Adam Lambert." Hah! HAHAHAHA! Good one! ;D

what can I say.....going from TSMGO to NCOE is rather painful for me... and that's the truth... Well, unfair comparison, IMO. There are 13 wonderful songs on Trespassing! YES!!! OF COURSE!!!! say from ABTD to TP is a breeze ..just NCOE is our flagship now... anyway, with all the concert videos I missed watching this one - I know it was posted but it is so great that I am taking a liberty of posting it again :

Adam's Grammy nomination would not have come about without the radio success of WWFM. That's just the way it is now, IMO.
