[/IMG]
QuickTime is from Apple, so that may be the link. I really don't know - don't have an IPod, IPad, or use Itunes. But I'm sure someone here will be able to tell you. I know just enough to be dangerous... :
If you download the video file at the link posted (just click the download button on the web site) it will play in iTunes as a movie and also in QuickTime and Windows Media Player and likely anything else that will play a MP4 video file. But only in iTunes will you be able to see and use the chapters feature. And supposedly you can also see the chapters on an iPad or iPone but I've not tried these. There is also an unchaptered version of this MP4 video. Both are posted in one of my earlier postings along with instructions for how to see the chapters in iTunes. I know we have a thread for instructions on how to do things in Atop itself, but do we have one for instructions for audio & video files and software? If not, can someone make one? I'm repeating instructions a lot lately and it would be nice to have a place to point to.

I have downloaded the Kiev file below to my VLC player. It is a fabulous file. I am just finishing listening to it. Great sound and picture. The VLC player allows me to open it in the VLC player, Real Player, Windows Player, Windows Moviemaker and Quicktime Player. I haven't tried to make a DVD yet, but wanted to share how good it is. Unfortuneately, it's so good that once I start it, I have to watch/listen to the whole thing... ;D minus.com/lvhKDgWkLuq6HOh, what riches we have received these last few days... ETA: Also, if you don't want to download, it's right there for you to play - just bookmark it! Thank you evergreen...it's on my desktop...so fast....

What OS is your PC running - Mac, Windows XP, Windows 7, etc? And what exactly do you mean by music libraries? Is this something you saved under "library" on the left panel of iTunes or does it have to do with the *.xml file I talk about below? If Windows, did you check the "iTunes Music Library.xml" file which is probably in the Libraries/Music/My Music/iTunes directory? (I assume this file also exists on Mac but I don't use a Mac.) This is the file that iTunes uses to keep track of what music and information you have entered into iTunes. My guess is that this file became corrupt or that iTunes wrote over the file with a blank file when iTunes crashed. It is a good idea to make a backup of this file every time you make major changes to iTunes for such occasions as this. Just copy the file and append a date or version number at the end of the file name while iTunes is closed. Well, I don't know if this information will help you at this point but once you get things back to normal, it could help prevent this situation next time iTunes crashes. In that case, just copy the current *.xml file to another name (don't delete it till you are sure things are working again) and copy the last saved *.xml file to the "iTunes Music Library.xml" name and restart iTunes. As long as your music files themselves have not disappeared, this should recover your iTunes to the state it was in the last time you make a backup of the *.xml file. You might want to check and see if you have multiple *.xml files in the directory where the "iTunes Music Library.xml" is located or somewhere else. Just do a search on "*iTunes*.xml" in Internet Explorer starting at the Libraries directory or even the C directory. All of you with lots of stuff in iTunes, you may want to start making this backup on a regular basis to prevent this from happening to you! Thanks so much for this info. My OS is Windows 7. I'm too fried to check all of this out tonight but will get on it after work tomorrow. The library files I was directed to work with were the itl files. These were empty after the crash. I keep all my files on the external drive. Only the cd's that I imported to itunes are on the pc's hard drive. Thanks again. Yes you are right. You need to look at both the "iTunes Library.itl" and "iTunes Library.xml" files. The Apple support link below has lots of trouble shooting information including how to start iTunes in "safe mode". support.apple.com/kb/HT1451Ok, so everyone with lots of stuff in iTunes, it is wise to periodically make backup copies of BOTH the "iTunes Library.itl" and "iTunes Library.xml" files in case iTunes crashes!

WinStar World Casino @winstarworld @adamlambert is coming to WinStar! Do you have your tickets yet? bit.ly/KwWbt4I'm going to WinStar and I have 2 extra tickets I am selling, they are in section C, row C1, seats 3 and 4 for $63.00 if any one is interested. Also, I'm still looking for someone in the Beaumont or Houston area to share expenses with, I'm really poor right now and sharing would make this so much better for me, but I will be there no matter what!

Oh yea, and if you are linking iTunes to your external drive and for some reason the drive letter (D, E, etc) changes for that device, iTunes can no longer find the stuff on that drive. Or at least this was the case a few years back. I had this happen to me when I added more devices and the drive letter changed for the external drive my iTunes stuff was on. iTunes could no longer find my stuff. I believe I found some instructions somewhere on how to remap the drive letter but it was a real pain. This is why I know about the *.itl & *.xml files. I think I bassically edited the *.xml file.
