Is there any video of It's A Hard Life from that 2010 performance?
Well this was never intended as anything more than a one off. See one of the curses of Freddie's death is since then whenver Brian and Roger want to perform they always feel they have to have someone to sing with them. They don't like carrying a whole show on themselves...especially since most of the shows they do are charity gigs and one-offs with others on the bill it's only natural to team up with people...to the point where some hardcore Queen fans get annoyed by them whoring themselves out...BUT in this case it was the Princes' Trust Charity Gala and Tom Chaplin offered his services for the charity. Tom is in Keane:
A very successful British band (not too big in the States - the above is really their only known song stateside) so Tom was never leaving his band. So it didn't continue because basically it was only a charity gig...and a charity gig with a house band which is why there are so many others playing with Queen during this.
Tom IS a huge Queen fan. Keane have covered Under Pressure and he has never hidden the fact that he is a huge fan. After a fun time at the Princes' Trust, he offered his services for the Freddie tribute the next September.
I wish I could hear his TSMGO because Tom DEFINITELY has range as you can tell by 'It's A Hard Life' which incidentally was one of the songs I was hoping to hear Adam sing...One of my favs from that album...
Definitely. He has quite the scream in him
If it's anything like his previous albums it will be eclectic! His first two album were synth heavy 80s rock type albums. His 1994 album was a very mellow affair - almost Pink Floydish while his last solo album in 1999 was a definite return to the rock but some epic qualities thrown in.
Hopefully I can get to Roger's solo albums by then so you can get a taste
Definitely the lead and probably the only. During the last album he shared some vocals with a female vocalist Treana Morris whom he was being very supportive of at the time. But heck, on his first 2 albums he did ALL the instruments. All the vocals, drums, bass, guitars and half the keyboards. He usually takes things well in hand!
If I were to venture a guess I'd say no. It just doesn't seem likely especially since Brian is so busy. BUT never say never. They have all guested on each other's stuff in the past but more recently they've stayed away.
I would love it if there were one Roger & Brian track!
