Hey guys - did anyone hear about Adam ever going to Reno (Nevada)? I was at a birthday party tonight and one guest said he was in Reno about 8 months ago and Adam was there - the hotel had a wing blocked off with security for Adam. He wasn't performing but was just visiting? Also, this guy mentioned he also ran into Adam at some fancy steakhouse and there was also security for Adam's group at the restaurant so no one really got close. I don't remember anything like this, and I can't really imagine what Adam would be doing in Reno anyway. Just wonder if anyone ever heard of this? Maybe Adam Levine? Doesn't sound like Adam Lambert to me. How the heck would he spend time in Reno without us Ninjas finding out? Such sad news about Whitney. I was in a movie yesterday when I heard. Previews were still on and I was just getting out my phone to silence it when I saw a text from a friend. It was the strangest thing sitting in a theater full of people who I figured all, or most, had no idea. It was a sad, odd two hours. Great pics of Adam from last night. My favorite "conservative" look would be the dark blue suit he wore for the night he sang the Natl. Anthem for Spielberg. I liked that ensemble a little better. The tie had some detailing on it that gave it a little personality. 8-) (I think it was that event... but I could be off.) But then again, I don't care what he wears.... I just want him to SANG! He could wear nothing at all and as long as he was singing, I'd be happy. ;D Have a great day everyone!

From Brian M. usat.ly/whMt8MADAM LAMBERT
Whataya Want From Me (2,600 weekly, 1.849 million total) If I Had You (1,600/873,000 Better Than I Know Myself (4,000/69,000) WOOT !!!!!Go Adam songs! [laughs hysterically] And IIHY is STILL selling!!! I've never understood how that song still sells when it got so little radio love but its more than 85% of the way to platinum!!! I wonder if the solid sales are in part a result of the iTunes popularity bars for Adam's songs. I know when I punch up an artists name and go to their page and it shows the most popular songs, that's usually where I start considering "hmmmm, do I have that one?" WWFM is #1, then IIHY, then FYE. A little bit of the tail wagging the dog at this point, kinda sorta. My thanks to all you numbers folks too. I rarely post but I do love the numbers thread. And I don't even mind the roller coastery-ness. It's a great thread to follow Adam's progress!

LOVE this post, Winks!!! And yes, I totally agree that in the scope of Adam's career it won't matter at all, but the entire discussion is indicative of how he is a lightning rod. No matter what happens. What he says or does, it somehow invites discussion of broad, complex, reaching issues and I can pretty much bet it will continue far past when this album comes out. This kind of thing is one of the elements that make me so sure he is a game-changing artist – because he fosters debate and challenges convention when he's not even trying. He and Sauli are happily sitting at home juicing and watching TV becoming a "boring couple," and yet ... the very social undercurrent of our society ends up being analyzed. Yipes! I can only imagine what we're in store for when these songs are released, when he IS trying to be evocative, push buttons and lay it all down ... Fasten yer seatbelts ... this ride is just getting started!!! So true Susie! And it's just part of what makes stanning Adam Lambert such an amazing experience. I wouldn't have it any other way. :D The lightening, the pushing buttons, the isms that prompt such great thought provoking discussions and the best ride I've ever been on. I'm strapped in and ready to rock and roll!

A year from now it just won't matter! Today's thread ponders a lot of the irritations of "isms" we encounter as AFL fans. Ageism, sexism, gayism, stoopidism... you name it. And it all irritates the hell out of me too. But I just can't help but think about how a year from now we'll be basking in the after-glow of a glorious year of singles, concerts, old friends, new friends, old fans, new fans, young fans, award nominations, special performances, etc. The importance of what Ryan Seacrest said in an interview today, about the age of some of Adam's fans, is going to have as much meaning then as it did today.... SQUAT! I think most people know that many of the mainstream pop-ish artists have fans of all ages, and frankly many of middle-age -- Adam included. The difference may be that Adam does have an extremely loyal, extremely vocal, extremely visible group of fans -- many of them of a more mature age -- and so it's noticed a bit more. It's really a beautiful and unique thing. But rather than talk about it in a positive way, Ryan has to be the typical pin-head shock-jock wanna-be and portray it negatively. It doesn't surprise me in the least. I've always thought Adam made Ryan nervous so I kind of chalk it up to Ryan trying to be something he's not... interesting and cool! A little time, a little patience, a whole lotta love... it's going to be a GREAT year!!! 8-)

Does this mean that the Bruno Mars collab won't be on the album? Hmm. Even if it's weak Bruno Mars sauce I still think it should go on for the name alone, or is that too FYE-era way of strategizing? Sounds like he wasn't in a room with Mars. Maxwell's interview was GREAT! So casual and chatty... Happycat, when he said he wasn't sure about Bruno track, at first I thought "WUT"? Who wouldn't want a Bruno track on his CD. Then I immediately thought "WHAT?!!!!" He has enough awesome tracks to not have to worry about a collab with an artist with as many fans/auto adds as Bruno? YAY! I do like Bruno (you wouldn't believe which song of his I like best : and think he has a good voice, but (and this is JMO, YMMV etc.) I really like Adam's music WAY MORE--and I mean, the songs he writes. There isn't one song of Bruno's that I like better than ANY song on FYE. So, in the end, it makes me really excited that #2 is gonna have awesome singles and even better deep cuts, which I usually like best anyway! ;D Happycat and Hoopla, I think the Bruno quandry is really interesting. I suppose the name recognition/auto-add/success, that Bruno has, must offer some appeal. I've never been a fan of any of his song. (ducks:-) I remember when Grenade came out, I was like... that is the most ridiculously stupid song I've ever heard. And then of course it's a giant hit and nominated for a Grammy so what do I know. : I like Happycat's thought about maybe the name recognition collaboration thing was FYE era. If it's a weak song, I dnw it on Adam's CD -- even with some Bruno name recognition! Weak is weak IMHO. Back to lurking... carry-on. Oh, before I go.... a moment of old fashioned flail regarding Leno, Ellen, video-still, CD reviews, etc. .... ^&)()&^%^#!@$%&^&*)*)&*^&%$%$##%^(*+%!@#^!!! ;D

Hey winks....showing off your good taste are you :-) Love that pic of the boxes of goodies...had forgotten that one. It had to be hard sometimes for the others... Hi Roomie I love that picture because it kind of provides a little light into the future (dedicated fans). I also think it's funny as hell that everyone's first names are used on the boxes, then you get to the last one and it's "Gokey." 8-)

Behind, but in case no one else saw the red carpet pre-show, they bleeped E John saying to Carson Daly "Madonna doesn't have a fuckin' chance." Rude! And NoAngel (or Rabbit?) tweeted the most beautiful song the other day--Sinead O'Connor sang it on some NYEve show. I LOVE this song and couldn't believe it when it was nominated tonight--was hoping it would win. I'm learning this song to sing to my grandchild(ren), I hope! ETA: MIKA!!!!! HELLO!!!!! ;D And I see you were right on top of the Elton John throw-down to Madonna! Now I'll go back and see if anyone explained the "bad blood" between them! Hello yourself! Yes, as you can see, it's a pretty one sided 'feud'. Sir Elton has a hissy fit about something and Madonna just gives him a cold cat paw. Then he stages a big public reconciliation. And the cycle starts all over again. Poor man gets antsy between funeral gigs.Just saw him last summer at a sold-out 15,000 seat arena. He performed for over three hours.
