Okay, breathe...breathe... I AM COMPLETELY CRAZY!!! I just bought a ticket to the second Mohegan Sun Arena concert and a plane ticket to Boston... and I can't actually afford it. *Splats on the floor and fans self*. I just couldn't pass up this nice single ticket in section 15 (lower level on the catwalk side) row B -- as in SECOND ROW JUST ABOVE THE CATWALK SIDE....aaaaaaaagggggghhhhhh.....
Anyway, who's going to this show? I will be flying overnight to Boston and will arrive early in the morning. If someone is staying at Mohegan Sun, can I pass out on your floor or couch for a few hours before the concert? I'm tidy and reasonably well-behaved!
Back to flailing..... I'm CRAYZZZZZZ....

Deanna @didilynn2 3m Just met a couple huge Queen fans at OAK-LAX flt: Queen tattoos, Queen convention goers - they LOVE QAL-say huge improvement over QPR! Deanna @didilynn2 The Queen fans did not appreciate that QPR sang non-Queen songs on tour lol! The second tweet is funny -- when I was in Vancouver I sat in front of a mom (huge hard-core Queen fan) and her sullen teenage son. The first comment I heard the kid make was "I hope this guy (Adam) doesn't sing his own songs". I turned around and told him that all the songs would be Queen songs because Adam really respected the band and Freddie (giving him more of a reason to love Adam, of course!). At the end of the concert, I looked at the mom and asked what she thought and she replied "he was good". I think she would have gone to see Queen with a singing hamster as lead, so it didn't bother me much...at least her son was happy!

Help! Save me from myself! There is a fantastic ticket available for the 2nd Mohegan Sun show that might have my name on it--but I am not sure what airport to fly into or how best to get to the arena. Any ideas? I will be coming from Seattle if I do this (cray-cray) trip. It will be going and coming back in 48 hours, too. Best airport and transportation to and from the arena? Thanks for any assistance! Now I have to get OFF the internet and go to bed--I have been listening to videos and surfing airline fares for the last few hours.
I just went to Vancouver and now you see what happens? I sat 20 feet from Adam and Brian F***ing May people!!!!!!! I think I am only coming out of my concert shock today and realizing that I need more!!! I think I need counseling--oh, wait.....

Hey everybody -- Here is my overdue recap of Saturday's concert. Since everyone has already said much of what I would have said I will hit some of the highlights that I saw and felt. First, I must say hi to 4EverAdam who I met up with on Saturday morning and wandered around part of the harbor with. We were trying to find the Olympic cauldron but never found it. That's okay--she bought me ice cream! The flavor she chose was a little melty and mine was not, so she said (with a straight face) "well, at least yours is hard". At this point, I know I made a snarky comment and I hope she didn't blow ice cream out her nose! I may be a pastor, but I'm not humor-free (and I have a dirty mind, which helps). Anyway, after our time together I can say that 4EverAdam is a very cool person--and I want to hide in her suitcase for the concerts she is going to on the East Coast next month!
After going back to my hotel in the West End section of downtown--next door to the gay village area--yay--I took a nap and then did fast nail polishing so my fingers would be Glambertized (gold sparkly). I went back to the bus stop (close to hotel on one end and arena on the other) and then waited.....until the bus arrived after 1/2 an hour. The driver was hilarious and seemed to know lots of people on the route. An older gentleman sat next to me and chatted to him and me for most of the ride (he was going to the casino--which he called "church"). The driver said they toss the schedule out of the window on week-ends in the downtown area and couldn't even remember how off schedule he was at that point.
By the time I get to the arena I saw the line forming that went up the stairs and was right at the bottom of the stairs until we all herded into the arena. By this point I realized I had worn the WRONG SHOES and my feet were starting to hurt (and they weren't even heels--just sandals that I hadn't worn for awhile...now I remember why). I got into the arena and one of the ushers (nice younger woman) said she was hoping she would work the concert because she is a big fan, and her sister saw the show in Edmonton and told her it was amazing. Then she told me she was the person who tweeted about seeing Adam at Cher the night before! She couldn't figure out how her tweet got so many retweets because she "didn't even use a hashtag" -- I told her that Glamberts will find anything about Adam in a matter of minutes. She got lots of retweets and a bunch of follow up tweets asking what Adam was wearing, etc. She seemed almost distressed that she couldn't answer all their questions! She just said "he's hot". HAH. Got down to my seat, looked around at people and thought about hunting down Adamtopia folks then decided to just hang around my area. Met some nice Glambert sisters who took my picture and a few other Glamberts--including a man in a black and white sequined zebra jacket and hat with a feather!
I don't know what happened when the concert started -- I was only about 7 rows back from the end of the thrust (decent) but also had lots of cell-phone folks in front of me and couldn't ever see Adam's feet! He was pretty close at times, though and looked and sounded amazing. His lower register is really lovely now and much fuller. The bronze outfit he wears for the 2nd act is gorgeous in person and the shirt is really pretty. I don't even have words for Brian May. That was one of the most incredible moments of my life--watching Brian play guitar 30 feet from me... Wow. He was really touched by the loudness of the crowd and our cheering before he sang and had to wait for everyone to calm down. It is very clear that this group is truly functioning as a single unit--they act like a band. They are also having a great time, which is lots of fun to see. It was also VERY LOUD and I kept putting my earplugs in and taking them out...with them in I could hear the resonances in Adam's voice better but with them out I could really feel more a part of the action. Yes, I sang and clapped and waved my hands! Fabulous. The lasers and light show are fabulous, and the mirror ball comes down much further than it looks in pictures and hangs right over Adam and Brian. Magical. I think I was on overload from about the second song and couldn't even process what was happening. It went on and on...and then ended! Sadness! Feet HURT! After the concert I tried to hobble back to the bus stop and then waved down a taxi because...I just couldn't hobble anymore. It was worth it.
By the way, at the end of the concert, a nice-seeming woman looked at me from her chair a few rows in back of me, and when I walked by her she said, "you wouldn't be from Adamtopia...revlisacat" -- to which I said, yes! It was LadyOz who came to see the show from Australia and visit her son! She was so sweet, too! and now I really have to go visit Australia and New Zealand to meet up with everyone there! Lovely time all around--but now I need to see the show again from a slightly higher level and a little closer to the stage. My seat was great for the small stage, but not for the action on the main stage--and my only complaint is that Adam does not come out on the thrust much at all during the last half of the concert, until the encore. And that leopard suit and crown are something else in person! Sweaty Adam with a sparkly crown.....
Bless! Lisa
