4EverAdam -- No wonder I couldn't find you in your section! Lucky ducky! I am going to be looking at how I might be able to sneak in another concert as we discussed.....

Fast post before I have to leave the hotel -- Adam seems much more comfortable with his body these days and is much more centered. He's also really happy performing with this group and is shows. Some of the manic energy I have felt from him in past concerts was missing--he's a lot more Zen in his performances, in a way. The energy is there but it is calm energy--does this make sense? Brian May actually had the greatest impact on me--I have wanted to see Queen since the 70's and will always be up for seeing Adam (LOL--to put it mildly), but Brian was beyond amazing. I have never in my life seen or heard anyone play guitar like he does. Wow. No words. And the lasers/light show were incredible! More later!

Okay, I just typed up a nice post about tonight and my hotel wifi disconnected and poof! I will write my recap tomorrow when I get home--just want to say thank you to 4EverAdam for the ice cream (even though we never found the Olympic cauldron) and it was great meeting LadyOz after the show--what a cool person!
By the way, that bronze lace shirt looks so much better in person, and those bronze pants are really . . . lovely (soft as butter, too).

So here I am in Vancouver--I can't believe I am actually here! The border crossing was pretty funny; here's how the conversation went:
Border Guard: And what is the purpose of your visit?
Me: I'm here to see a concert.
Border Guard: Would that be Queen?
Me: Yes--you've probably seen a few of us today going to the concert?
Border Guard: Oh, one or two (typical understated humor). Have a good time!
Too funny! It actually took me longer to get from the border to my hotel than it did to get from Seattle to the border--and Seattle to the border is twice as many miles! Traffic was horrible coming into Vancouver (yeah, I ended up in the tunnel for an hour, too). Then I had to find my hotel--and of course did I remember to sign up for international calling or wifi? No, I did not. Call to Sprint--help, I need cell phone and data coverage for the week-end! The maps and data never kicked in so I ended up calling my hotel from the middle of rush hour in downtown Vancouver (I don't recommend it) and finally got to my hotel. I was going to meet up with 4everadam but we were both zonked and will be meeting in the morning to do some sightseeing before the show! Yahoo!!!!! I'm so stoked!!!!!! This is how I can tell I was excited--I packed some of the weirdest things and didn't bring enough pants! At least I will be dressed for the show tomorrow! Just black pants and a short-sleeved shirt because it will probably get hot in the stadium tomorrow...maybe that's just me....

Okay, I can now die happy (although nothing better happen before Vancouver, hah!) because I heard Adam sing Killer Queen! I heard the opening chords and just about jumped off the couch and just rocked back and forth in happiness. Yay! And did you know that the type of couch he was on was called, in Victorian times, a "fainting couch". So perfect--and in purple, too! Yay!
Adam sounded amazing--Brian, Roger and the guys all sounded amazing, too. This is going to be an epic tour!

Ok that was BEYOND AWESOME!!! Can't believe we're gonna see this LIVE & IN PERSON!!!! I'm gonna DIE....seriously..... We'll have to have a long line of ambulances and coffins lined up outside the arenas. Revlisacat can conduct all the services. LOLOLOL!!!!! I'd be happy to if I were still alive after that . . .

Will someone be recording this? I have to work tonight, and won't be able to see this live (unless I lock myself in the office, which would be bad).

Theosgma --
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I have learned over the years that you are never to old to lose your mom . . . and sometimes it's more difficult as we get older. Blessings.
