Just have to pop in here with my opinion, fwiw. I too am worried and a bit perplexed by the lack of support for Quentin...I think he is the best of the boys when you factor in voice and originality and performance...so what is with this?? I love watching Quaasim but he does not seem to have the voice...but great performance skills and liveability. I love Clark's voice and am surprised at the lack of support here....to me, he has the best straight up vocals, consistently, of the boys....but he really needs to beef up his performance skills. Of all of them, his is the cd I would purchase at the moment...I think...of the boys. I sort of agree re the young one...but he is really talented...and more memorable that a couple of them. I would be upset to see Quentin go rather than him though...and unless voting changes, that could happen. Rayvon is talented but just not my music style...which is probably why I don't care for Empire that much. Run-filled quasi melodic r&b does nothing for me... I really like Joey, Jax and Tyanna....they all have the full package and should go far...for me, a toss between Jax and Joey with a minor edge to Joey lately. I don't find any of the other girls particularly interesting as of now...and going against the grain I know, but was not especially taken with Sarina. They are all 'good' I just am not even remotely smitten.

a nice post from the OIQFC fb - someone (nic42?) wanted to see Adam in the crest temporarily - so here he is : David Lopez 10 hrs Thought I'd share my theory on Adam Lambert. Freddie made the QUEEN crest out of the star signs from the band. That covers the lions, crab and the fairies. Often times, I myself overlook the pheonix behind it all because it blends so smoothly in the image. Those of you familiar with the story of the pheonix know that this bird flies to incredible heights and when it's time comes, it burns up in beautiful flames only to be reborn from its own ashes. I saw this photo of Adam and I thought to myself how he himself represents that pheonix in the QUEEN crest Freddie made. He's bringing this music back to the stadiums it deserves to be in. He's giving our boys a new tour and a new youth. I'm a firm believer in the "everything happens for a reason" motto. Obviously Freddie didn't draw it out thinking it would stand for Adam because Adam wasn't around back then- but I can't help but think it's very fitting and perhaps it's exactly what the pheonix is- a new life (even if it may be a short one-as freddie's had been) for the band. Just the late night ramblings of an old man, but it made me smile. OMG so beautifully stated, I am speechless and teary eyed.

Thank you nic42 for bringing over this link to Aleks tumblr. I bow down to Aleks and her wonderful way with words. She states all I would like to say about Adam but don't have the way with written words that she possess.

I agree mys*&@^#r...but he DID say it and we do know....can't undo things... In some ways, that is exactly my point...and if he wants the world to love and accept him as we do, he has to be a little more reticent about saying/showing these things. If that 'world domination' is not his goal, then, CARRY ON.....we will continue to love him regardless. All I am trying to say is that it really is his choice to make... now for sure, BBL Sorry to disagree here but world domination is NOT achieved by bowing down to the masses. It is achieved by sticking your ground until the masses come to you. Madonna, Bowie, MJ, Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, U2 all became iconic by being and doing their own thing, not by dumbing themselves down to appeal to the masses. They won their audiences and that is what Adam has been doing all along, winning his audience by being true to himself as much as he could be. His voice is his instrument and that is what wins him fans. For me his music IS his voice and I could care less what the instruments are doing. I like some arrangements better than others but to me that is all production as far as I'm concerned and doesn't make or break the song for me. But everyone listens to music for different things. People who are dance oriented care more about the background, the beat, the grove. People who are guitar fans care most about the guitars, etc. For me a song is all about the lyrics, the vocal, and the emotion. The reason I don't care what Adam sings is that whether the song is his or someone else's and no matter what the lyrics he can make me hear it in a new way every time he sings it. I love the songs Adam writes because the lyrics make sense, are thought provoking and full of complexity. But to be quite honest I will still be an extremely satisfied fan even if he decides he is no songwriter and just sings. Because whether it's an original he wrote, or a song someone else wrote, or a cover we've heard a zillion times whatever he sings is still uniquely him. He is no less of an artist singing a song someone else wrote than he is singing his own songs. I find it incredibly insulting to him when people insinuate that he's not a real artist because his songs are not "hits". That's NOT what defines an artist. Sure I want him to be successful and I'd love to see "world domination" but if it doesn't happen it is not an indication that he is not a great artist. There are incredibly gifted artist all over the world who NEVER achieve fame and recognition but none of that devalues their art. Also when did people forget that "entertaining" is in itself an art. Being able to engage an audience is an art form in its own right. Being a songwriter or a musician doesn't automatically make you an entertainer. That showmanship is art as well and no less important than the material. The greatest songs can still be crap if the performer doesn't have the artistry to communicate them to the audience. So yes we do defend him based on his voice because saying he isn't any good because his own songs aren't hits is a crap argument. I don't have to like a song to recognize the talent of the artist performing it or the person who wrote it. That's something people seem to have a hard time with. It's easy to say something is crap when we don't like it but just because we don't like something doesn't make it bad. What she said

This was such a great idea, but to be honest I can't seem to pick a favorite. I have been on line on and off since 10 am and I am still on page 3. There are way too many that are my favorites, depending on my mood at the moment. I am loving watching all the vidoes that have been chosen but all of you. I think I won't be able to finish this thread today. LOL

gabriella wrote:"What a lovely man Adam Lambert has become. His talent is undeniable but it is his personal qualities that make me such a huge fan. Adam it seems to me just continues to grow in confidence and he now has such a commanding presence on stage.........the NYE preformance was again a sort of turning point just like at iheart where he really seemed to came into his own. I felt that this show was first and foremost featuring Adam Lambert with Queen as his supporting cast. No direspect intended it just felt that way to me. Yet the amazing thing is that with all the accolades he remains humble, sincere and so respectful. I feel very lucky to have discovered Adam Lambert and to have followed him since his days on Idol. I can't wait for what will unfold in 2015 for him and for us." Thank you gabriella for saying exactly how I feel about Adam. I just had to repeat your writings (I'm still on yesterday's thread) work full time and am exhausted when I get home so can't keep up when there are a lot of pages. also agree with what red panda wrote:"I think for me, like you, gabriella, that the enduring amazement and joy I get from Adam has almost as much to do with who he is, how he presents himself, how he expresses his philosophy of life, how he treats people, his joy as it does with his voice." AMEN! Wishing all of you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR can't wait to see what is in store for us from Adam this year. So excited. Now I have to go back to yesterday's thread. I will catch up some time today. LOL
