All one has to do to realize that Adam can "dummy down" his voice is to listen to Take One. >:( Interesting convo about Sauli and Adam and I realize it is just speculation. We are just "projecting" our experiences and what we think onto them. However, the one presumption that kind of hits me the wrong way is to assume that the Helsinki fight was Adam's fault and that Sauli had to do damage control with his family! OMG - This post is from yesterday afternoon! But I feel so strongly about this I had to say I TOTALLY AGREE!!! Shows how far behind I am - again. :-/ Not to worry though, from my reading no one in that thread made the above 'presumption'. Like brussel sprouts, it was the thing that wasn't there but everyone picked it up and ran with it anyway. Lol I don't even know why I'm posting this so late but I find this kind of thing a little hilarious from a meta perspective.

I heard BTIKM on the radio!!!!Late posting but I heard it on my drive home yesterday on 20 on 20 (XM 3). Someone had posted that it was on one of their countdowns so I tuned in the station and it was played, not on a countdown, just in their regular rotation! That's awesome! Any Sirius radio listeners out there know that they can request BTIKM right? Here is the info from requestadamlambert.com/usnational/SiriusXM Hits 1 (Top 40 Hits) * For Sirius subscribers only *Phone: 877-MY-HITS-1 Online song request form: here Join the Wutchuwant Crew: www.siriusmusicsurvey.com/ot/reg/sirius_hits1 (participate in music surveys that help decide what makes it on the air) I think we need a PIA for radio requesting. Also I think Adam has trident forks because he is Poseidon (see Bora Bora jetski pics for evidence)

For myself when I sometimes want to revisit an old discussion (we've discussed the same issues surrounding Durbin in depth in one or two daily threads before for example) the proboards search on this site is actually very good. You can look up a topic and call up as many posts as you want that mention it, or search by poster if you remember that somebody said something interesting about it in the past.
Goodnight (or good morning or good day) all! Next week should be aweeessssomme

Virginia Woolf and Coleridge wrote about great [read creative] minds being androgynous. But I'd also say sometimes the medium shapes the message. I was reading about online behavior the other day and how the personas we adopt online are often emotionally distorted as opposed to our real personalities. I know for myself I often don't post unless I disagree with something or have another take, so black and white thinking might be more about where the thought is expressed, than the full complexity of a person's take on an issue.
For example I vote down competitors to Adam on the takeover even though I like the songs. I vote for Adam over other songs (on Sophie's Challange for example) that I might like more than BTIKM. It's not that my online behavior reflects my true thoughts about these things, but is more about being part of a team with larger goals and behaving strategically.
I like Chunkey's light and dark cover idea - part of the face in shadow, and also some take on iceish's idea of a translucent veil/nekkid adam/and symbols. Another possibility is some kind of mirror or double portrait with dark and light aspects.
I think there's a strong chance of black and white or a restricted color palette, but who knows. Because he is a solo pop artist I think the likelihood is very high that it will be his face and/or body for marketing reasons.

I made that error all by myself and I have no idea why. I'm a bit glad though...I didn't want to hate on Jim ;D lolol aw 4Msrmyn I feel you, we all do stuff like that, no biggie. Only tangentially related, but there is an interesting thing that happens here when people are understandably busy with real life and drop in their comments before reading the whole thread, or when only skimming. I've noticed that the last few days the discussion has been a little circular and repetitive, and misunderstandings tend to get amplified, rather than cleared up fast. *goes off to find some peas for lunch*

I've never gotten anything 'mean' from Durbin either, just some hubris but one point of clarification about: Doesn't bother me that Durbin tweeted "fuck off" to a radio guy (I think that guy's a dj, anyway) who tweeted to him that he was "horrible." It's utterly impolitic, but what he did in a way fits with Adam's advice in that "Aftermath" intro he did about people saying, no, no, no to you. The rock radio DJ did not tweet to James. James must have either been searching under his full name or someone pointed it out to him and he decided to respond directly in this way to someone who might be in a place to help or hinder his airplay on their station. Assuming Adam was being nice, he might also have been throwing out his compliment to help defuse James who can't have been doing his career any favors with that tweet.

Hmm... having read through the thread I didn't see any blaming of Adam in people's posts? Having visited and lived with the in-laws overseas myself, it really is a chance where your native partner gets to shine and help you navigate the different cultural waters and eddies (let alone the language barrier). Having a somewhat embarrassing joint intro to the nation and extended family just adds another layer of mutual support needed (and apparently) received. I also have to say that for myself actually immersing yourself in your partners culture--in their country, family, history is so so important to getting to understand and appreciate them on a deeper level. We are where we're going, but also where we've come from. I think gliztripper said it really well: How one responds in crisis says a lot--to us and to Adam. -------- It's love! Not "falling" in love. Even better-- "landing on your feet" in love.

I believe Cam herself called bullshit on that one on her twitter account. That he never recorded "Dreamer" or that that is not it? I also think I recall that someone matched it to the original UH HUH HER song and the vocal choices and timing were completely identical. Therefore it had to be the original UHH vocals just tampered with. ETA: from October 8th: @adamlambertadam Lambert More rumor control: Dreamer is NOT single. Maj Pretty song though. @adamlambertadam Lambert And that wasn't me singin in that "leak". Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi#ixzz1jIm7NTCX
