Bon Jovi was way before the internet. His band was a Jersey staple in the 1990s. (I'm a Jersey girl.) Most of the women on my street are still going to Bon Jovi concerts b/c he embodies Jersey Shore. Which is where they spend their summer vacations. I think he now has a spaghetti sauce geared to NJ groceries.

Here's a video, that has been shot two months ago. So it seems that the decision to sell was not so rapid at all. Not sure, if the date can be seen in this, but I've seen another post, where it says that the video was done two months ago. You can spot Pharaoh in this, maybe Adam too (not sure about A though). twitter.com/foxvegas/status/902023438432329728

I think there are several factors that kept Adam from being much bigger but the main thing was radio play. Without a ton of it you are not going to reach that level. Gay was a part in my opinion but radio was the driving force. Maroon 5, according to Levine, was ready to breakup then he got The Voice and everything he put out radio played it to death. The big arena shows followed. Kelly Clarkson has never been an arena artist like Carrie but she did get a ton of radio play tho it did not push her to Carrie's level. Jonas got the radio play but did not reach headlining area status as a solo act like Demi and Shawn Mendes or Sheeran. So who knows? I would have loved for Adam to get the chance tho and if it did not happen for him then it did not happen. But if you are not put in front of the masses it is guaranteed you will come up short with concerts and award show performance. I watched the VMA to see Lorde play a tape of her song and just dance badly to it. Really? The guy who won some award could not even sing. WTF and everyone was grinning and bopping. To be fair to Lorde. The reason she danced to her tape. Because she had the flu. And could not sing. So "show must go on". Tbh it's about fan bases. Adam needs to expand his. Mileys was established was for example since she was 14. And it's grown exponentially. Adams fan base was the idol market and audience. Some of them dropped off obviously. And what remained was hard core fans. Adam needs younger fans. Adams selling point is TV. So love to see more Adam on TV. Currently Adam has no hits on the radio. So it's pointless every time A big Award show come so around. Complain Adams not their.

Now if you want to get into other factors that have influenced Adam's trajectory, here's one that's humorous, but...
He's too tall. So, so, so many male pop stars are short. Prism and I were joking about this after we saw Bon Jovi. Later she started looking up the height of male stars. She found that the average height of American men is 5'10" or 5'11" and made lists of short, average, and tall pop (and some rock) stars. Overwhelmingly the stars were short.
Bon Jovi 5'9" Prince 5'3" Bruno Mars 5'5" Pitbull 5'7" Beiber 5"9" John Legend 5'9" Lenny Kravitz 5'8" (some say 5'7") Troye Sivan 5'9" Pharrell Williams 5'9" Usher 5'7" Roger Daltrey 5'6" Billy Joel 5'5" Elton John 5'8" Paul Simon 5'2" Tony Bennett 5'7" Billie Joe Armstrong 5'7"
Of course, there are some average and tall stars, but not as many by a long shot.
So there you have it, we can prove anything with numbers. LOL Join the fun and add some pop or rock star heights!
peace&love

Off topic but this gives an idea of what Houston is facing. Some of you and QAL saw this skyline a few weeks ago. Wow, what an amazing amount of water. Thanks for posting. Stay safe, everyone in the flood zones. peace&love

LOL), but he fit with my other observations because he had a lot of fans attach to him when he was late teens through early twenties. He started as hair metal, how great is that! I think when one comes to public attention in one's late twenties or later, it is far more difficult to get a large swath of young fans to attach to you. Not to say one can't be a success. Just hard to get the large number of screaming fans that one needs to sell out arenas. peace&love

With all the love Adam gets from his covers...you can understand why FURCA wanted an album of them...he is a master interpreter of great music....hiding behind the couch now... Joe Cocker had several big hits from covers....one of Celine's biggest hits was a cover [Power of Love/Air Supply]....just saying....ironic is all..... He'd get a lot of coverage if he did a different cover every night like Clarkson did, but yeah it's like QAL or his own music.

In other words no big radio hits and exposure to the masses then bigger concerts and award show performances most likely will not be there. I thought I was pretty clear with my comments but I guess not. Didn't know Lorde was sick so that explains the performance, I guess.
