I was watching a Queen documentary last night. I don't know how many are out there but I seem to keep finding them, lol. But they were talking about how their album Hot Space broke their momentum and killed them in the US. Freddie had started spending a lot of time in gay clubs and wanted to bring pop/dance to Queen. I have often wondered why Queen fans, who are loving Adam as the frontman, were not coming to his solo shows. Even a fraction of them would make a big difference in sales and concert sizes. Tho, it makes sense if even Queen lost a lot of their fans because they did not like the dance club like music. Adam has said he was going to try to get some of the Queen fans on board this time and not make it separate. I hope they do a good job of letting them know he has more to offer than dance music, which may make many not interested. His albums have been full of good music (that I think all kinds of fans, younger and older, would like) but they always promote his work as if the other more meaningful stuff is not there. But it is and always has been. However, other than fans, no one else seems to be aware of it and that sells him short and limits the fans he could have. The teens and younger set are going to go mostly for their teen and early twenty something Idols. I wish that songs like "Runnin," "There I Said It," "Shady," and "Chokehold" could have had a chance to be heard by a larger audience. I think "Believe" and "Feel Something" have changed the narrative for him for the better, imo.I think I watched the same Queen documentary recently. Supposedly the Bowie collaboration with "Under Pressure" was their only successful song on "Hot Space". The fact that not all of Queen's albums were major successes but that in the end they prevailed and became legends is a good thing, isn't it? I get it why Freddie didn't do well as a solo artist - he probably created a very different energy from what the fans loved about the whole band. In terms of Adam, I just hope his new sound ties in somehow with Queen. That could only be helpful. I think that "Believe" and "Feel Something" re-calibrated Adam quite a bit, and I am keeping my fingers crossed looking ahead. "Runnin" and "Shady" from my point of view are the biggest opportunities missed.

Label executives run a business, and may be they thought she is not marketable enough. I understand that it must be frustrating for someone who wants to make it as an artist, especially after a decent level of success, but obscene gestures from my point of view are not a smart step in the right direction. I had a feeling that Adam tried to support her with his own IG post about their time in the studio. Ugghh. I didn't "like" the photo when I saw it this morning either. I can just here my late mother saying "Don't be vulgar." But that's just me. Adam can, obviously, do what he wants!! I guess some context would have helped though. I assumed he wasn't flipping the bird at his fans! I didn’t really like it either. And as you said: the context is missing. Alisan‘s original post of the picture at least gave a tiny bit of context. Adam’s none at all. So what’s the message? We don’t really know.

In The True Hollywood Story and/or Behind the Music some managed to say some dismissive things about others they perceived as his competition. And it blows back on Adam by fans of those people. I also remember when Adam and Kesha became new friends, a few of his old friends would tweet making fun of her talent. There was no regard that Adam viewed Kesha as a friend. I know there is a lot of anger at others, who have made it with what seems like less talent, but Adam does not seem to dwell on that and takes the high road. I think it has served him well. I think taking the high road and being classy is the way to go, as it reflects positively on someone and doesn't burn bridges. (I don't remember from past times though that any of Adam's friends left negative remarks on other artists that Adam was "competing" with)

SNL would be great. Halsey was host and musical guest a few weeks ago and she did a great job. Adam could do the same when his new music comes out. I seem to remember after Idol, there were discussions about SNL but the show wanted to focus on gay, gay, gay. I hope we've moved on a society since then and that would not be the sole focus.

I don’t think, Javi dyes his hair. He has pictures on is Instagram profile from 5-6 years or so back and always had the same hair color. But as a little kid he was blond. He must be one of these people, who start their life as blondes and change during childhood to the dark hair color. Thanks. I figured somebody would know! I've always loved a dark hair/blue eyes combination. Javi is looking up in that video and his eyes are probably bluer because they are reflecting the light.

The fact that the context was missing in Adam's post made the gesture even worse for me. Not all fans connect the dots and sort of get it, and I can only assume that some feel offended. I certainly was taken aback even though I felt that it was not directed at me as a fan. His IG post has a little less than 24K likes now... not one of his most celebrated ones. I agree that there is no need to be vulgar.

Plus he has that dark chest hair....lol From his latest IGs looks like he might be at the SoHo House from the view eastward plus the greenery. Just a guess.

Sorry, I adore Adam, but sometimes he makes me cringe. Cool that he supports his friend Alisan but I wish he did it in a less cringeworthy way. I guess it was an "in the moment" type thing I simply ignored the picture. I don’t have to like everything Adam does or posts. He must have his reason for posting it. I just wanted to let you guys here know, that you are not the only ones, who don’t like that pic.
