Valid thought. I love NE and some may argue now that it is a better song than FS - I love them both - but I agree that "Feel Something" might have tied in more cohesively with the vulnerability and the sheer beauty of "Believe". Darn it, Adam is in love and that may have changed a few things... We just need to roll with it and celebrate Adam the way he dishes things out. I agree a valid thought -- but I do not agree (just my opinion). It would be hard for any new song to have the effect of a song people know as well as "Believe" changed from a Disco romp into a soul aching ballad. Or even to have a new song match the power of the Queen songs we know and love, like BoRhap.
"Feel Something" is a nice gospel ballad with really sad lyrics, and no hook. Really not suitable as a single. I think Adam wisely made that a buzz track, not a lead single. It also seems very much like "yesterday" to me. Something he has moved past now that he found somebody to love.
"New Eyes" is now up to #65 on iTunes, and has over 2 million YT views. It is starting to prove itself.
I didn't think about the fact that some of Adam's stellar re-creations (like "Believe") have already gotten the stamp of approval. It's definitely time for Adam to create new songs that have the power of classic hits - songs that others want to cover! It's already been done.

ETA Also I think Lane's single being #2 on iTunes is help lift up Adam's track.
I'm curious why do you think it helped lift up NE?

Love them both, in fact I am a big fan of many of the bonus tracks. None of the singles have actually been my favorites, but it started going uphill with GT. NE is probably my favorite single to date. Yeah most of the one's I like haven't been singles, I wasn't keen on GT originally but it grew on me and I do play it quite a bit now. Chokehold is probably my favourite of all his songs, that was a first listen love. Chokehold immediately caught my attention when TP came out, and I think I tend to gravitate more toward the "saucy" and sensual stuff, or whatever classifies for that category in my eyes. Met a dear Glambert fan for lunch today and we talked about the many songs we liked but I don't think any of them were the singles. We agreed that Runnin had major hit potential, but Chokehold, Heavy Fire, Kickin In, TOH, Voodoo, Rabbit Hole, Lay Me Down, After Hours ( nica575 ) and Can't Let You Go were also discussed. I love Shady too. Adam has actually created some stellar music so far and he should be very proud. TP is still my favorite album to date. I hope that all of Adam's treasures will be discovered by audiences outside of the fandom some day. As I have said repeatedly, NE is such an exhilarating step in a new direction for me and it makes me firmly believe in this new chapter.

I also like Naked Love. but I recall it did not test well as a single.
Just to clarify...I liked Naked Love... but did not Love ...love it so much as to be the lead single. Honestly I had a hard time with a jump out stand out for that album. Still intestesting that was "the song" for the music critic. And the song off of Trespassing that has had the most success on streaming outlets is Runnin, which was a bonus song on the Delux album!

I'm curious how it helped lift up NE? Not Q3 and I don' know how it could help Adam. But Laine's song is on Itunes rock. It is being release to radio to CHR/HAC/Country. Someone cares about this young man. For years we have heard excuses as to why Adam can't go here or there. And why he can't release an emotional ballad or something else that everyone else can seem to do with little problem. Adam is one of the most diverse and talented artists out there but he always seems to be limited in his exposure. I hope those days are over. BTW, wishing Laine luck, lol.

Speaking of singles off Adam's albums did anyone else like By The Rules and Map? I'm not a pop fan at all and Adam is the only pop artist I really listen to and there's some songs I don't really like but those two really caught my attention and By The Rules especially I felt could have been a hit. I'm no expert on what makes a hit though but I found it really catchy. I loved both, but especially Map!!
