Speaking of singles off Adam's albums did anyone else like By The Rules and Map? Loved them! When everyone was gushing over Shady, I was enchanted by By the Rules and Map. Then on TOH, I loved Shame and These Boys. I guess I'm just a bit off from most folks!
Adam gives us ALL something, doesn't he?

Just for interest --Many youtubes for AI finale guests and duets are under the views for Adam's performance, and some way over as people are viewing their favourite contestant youtubes. Approx 82,000 plus views for Adam -New Eyes Approx 150,000 plus views for Carrie Underwood Approx 153,000 plus views for BR -Adam and Demetrius Approx 701,000 plus views for Katie P and Daddy Yankee (quite the jump) Adam & Dimitrius also have another 55,000 views on the Talent Recap channel (seems to be for non-US) They don't have any of the guest solos, just contestants.

@ tsuth88 is a lighting designer Thanks pi for the info on the lighting designer, they tied it in to the FS live video with the amber lights both on the light pillars and in front of the camera lens. Also a note on the version Adam loaded up to his channel for NE. It may have been something included in his contract because no Idol logo etc and if you watch to the end it has stuff not included on the Idol vid. You can see him swinging his mic/cord and saying thankyou. I don't remember if they showed that on the tv or not.

Thx.

ETA Also I think Lane's single being #2 on iTunes is help lift up Adam's track.
I'm curious why do you think it helped lift up NE? Oh, not meant to be cryptic -- just when Idol fans got to iTunes to buy a track they like -- like Lane's single -- they also buy other Idol-related and particularly Idol Finale-related tracks.
Since he is the Idol winner and has a lot of fans -- Lane is a big "Idol fan" traffic driver to iTunes for the moment.

Not Q3 and I don' know how it could help Adam. But Laine's song is on Itunes rock. It is being release to radio to CHR/HAC/Country. Someone cares about this young man. For years we have heard excuses as to why Adam can't go here or there. And why he can't release an emotional ballad or something else that everyone else can seem to do with little problem. Adam is one of the most diverse and talented artists out there but he always seems to be limited in his exposure. I hope those days are over. BTW, wishing Laine luck, lol. Were there excuses for Adam to not release an emotional ballad the past few years? I know, it's a no brainer for many of us given the Queen ballads and some very well received covers in that lane, with Believe being the latest standout, but may be that's not what HE wants? I have to laugh at myself for almost expecting a song in that lane with "New Eyes" but once I watched the music video my ears got tuned into into a slightly different direction Adam sure gave new meaning to what we consider a "love song" in a more traditional sense haha. Well anything and everything that fails to happen could be because that is not what HE wants, lol. But that has never stopped anyone from hoping or saying what they would like. But when someone asks about a ballad, there is always someone to say it won't get radio play or it is not Adam. Always something wrong with Adam's own ballads. But there are lots of ballads that get played and become hits or at least well known. But I don't know if it was Adam or his label(s) but we only get the big exposure and all the accolades for them when he is doing someone else's song. Just seems a bit weird to me when he has some beautiful ballads of his own. But hardly anyone gets to hear them but fans. But I guess I will wait until he does another ballad cover to be awed. I'm sure there will be another tribute show somewhere down the line. HA!

blackqueen65 those two are definately Up there among my favorits!!! Rewatched the Idol performance of ne since Adam uploaded it and i must say i Love it more and more. And yes, their hug after the porap performance was soooo sweet and genuine it seemed super sincere. How Dimitriud just wrapped himslf right smack around Adams middle lol Yeah he was definitely thrilled to sing with Adam, very sweet. The vid Adam uploaded is better sound quality than the Idol one, hope more people give it a listen now.

Yeah most of the one's I like haven't been singles, I wasn't keen on GT originally but it grew on me and I do play it quite a bit now. Chokehold is probably my favourite of all his songs, that was a first listen love. Chokehold immediately caught my attention when TP came out, and I think I tend to gravitate more toward the "saucy" and sensual stuff, or whatever classifies for that category in my eyes. Met a dear Glambert fan for lunch today and we talked about the many songs we liked but I don't think any of them were the singles. We agreed that Runnin had major hit potential, but Chokehold, Heavy Fire, Kickin In, TOH, Voodoo, Rabbit Hole, Lay Me Down, After Hours ( nica575 ) and Can't Let You Go were also discussed. I love Shady too. Adam has actually created some stellar music so far and he should be very proud. TP is still my favorite album to date. I hope that all of Adam's treasures will be discovered by audiences outside of the fandom some day. As I have said repeatedly, NE is such an exhilarating step in a new direction for me and it makes me firmly believe in this new chapter. Yeah Runnin was another that instantly grabbed me, I was really puzzled by some of the choices of singles to put out so I'm glad Adam has full control this time, if it doesn't work it's down to him but no one really knows what is gonna grab people, we all have such different tastes. Either way I'm in it for the long haul and if there's stuff I don't like I'll just ignore it and wait for the next one, there's very few songs I actually dislike and no one's voice has really grabbed me the way Adam's does, there's other artists I've really liked but I've never actively followed any of them until Adam.

If I could ever let you know how many "dark moments" Adam's song MAP lifted me up from and brought me to a place of beauty and JOY... "Now I believe in more than I can see." The lyrics convey one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard,{and I have heard many,} and Adam sings it in such a simple, lovely tone. So powerful in its simplicity. Makes me feel loved and cherished, just hearing his lilting voice displayed throughout this song. And of course I LOVE CLYG---who else in the world can sing like that? I can just imagine him in the studio belting out that final chorus. Thank you for the sweet memories. Now I have to listen to MAP again. Yeah there's something about that song, I love when Adam sings in that really melodic tone, he seriously has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard and as with most artists there's gems on their albums that only die hard fans ever hear. I loved CLYG as well but I get why that was never a single, would have been really hard to sing live even for Adam and would have been a killer to do every night on tour.
