I loved those two songs, too. Esp. Map. There are so many songs on his albums that never saw the light of day beyond us.

I know for a fact that "Can't Let You Go" was a huge favorite of our esteemed Administrator.... Mine too...I think it's my favorite of all of Adam's songs. I just wish I had a cleaner copy, it's a bit distorted. Yes I had that on repeat too at full blast. Man it was so powerful. He never sang it live and something tells me that it would have been a tough one. The one thing I am excited for with this Velvet album is that he says the songs are designed to be sung live with live instruments which bodes well for a tour. Canada got left out last time he toured for the Original High so hopefully this time that doesn't happen.

I'm curious how it helped lift up NE? Not Q3 and I don' know how it could help Adam. But Laine's song is on Itunes rock. It is being release to radio to CHR/HAC/Country. Someone cares about this young man. For years we have heard excuses as to why Adam can't go here or there. And why he can't release an emotional ballad or something else that everyone else can seem to do with little problem. Adam is one of the most diverse and talented artists out there but he always seems to be limited in his exposure. I hope those days are over. BTW, wishing Laine luck, lol. I know. It's so frustrating to see someone else just zoom up with all kinds of attention for a song that's no better than Adam's. I know I sound like a whiny kid, but it really puzzles me that Adam has rarely zoomed. And yes, Laine has some big support. He's a nice kids with a nice voice. Country music tends to embrace its own more than pop/rock does. Pop/rock seems like more every man for himself.

Adam is not like other artists so he will always seem to have an uphill battle getting mainstream attention. His albums are always critically well received but the buying public just never seems to hear him. Nothing frustrates me more than seeing a tweet from someone saying "whatever happened to Adam Lambert?", or "wow whats Adam been up to" or calls him Adam Lavine, when in fact he has been steadily working. Alas its just my angst. He is fine. He is working and making money and in love so I have to quit projecting.

niecey_E: @liblondmom Everyone who @ him negatively about his hair should post their picture and let Adam critique their hair like they do his. Ha!

If I could ever let you know how many "dark moments" Adam's song MAP lifted me up from and brought me to a place of beauty and JOY... "Now I believe in more than I can see." The lyrics convey one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard,{and I have heard many,} and Adam sings it in such a simple, lovely tone. So powerful in its simplicity. Makes me feel loved and cherished, just hearing his lilting voice displayed throughout this song. And of course I LOVE CLYG---who else in the world can sing like that? I can just imagine him in the studio belting out that final chorus. Thank you for the sweet memories. Now I have to listen to MAP again.

Speaking of Adam’s songs, is there one that you especially recommend to people who aren’t familiar with him and his work? I tend to send them to “Runnin’” for how it showcases the range of his voice and the power he can put behind it.

Just for interest --Many youtubes for AI finale guests and duets are under the views for Adam's performance, and some way over as people are viewing their favourite contestant youtubes.
Approx 82,000 plus views for Adam -New Eyes Approx 150,000 plus views for Carrie Underwood
Approx 153,000 plus views for BR -Adam and Demetrius
Approx 701,000 plus views for Katie P and Daddy Yankee (quite the jump)
Adam commented on the concept of competitiveness within the music industry. I find it hard to put my competitive nature to the side haha ...fanning a favorite does not come without blinders for me. My bad I guess. 😜 I often wonder just how many times I have viewed the AI - New Eyes to give it views.........I do my best to help Adam...hope like heck the song gets some attention to give it "legs" beyond one week. So wish for a super album 4 debut! The comments "we read" or people choose to write, are quite positive. 👍🤞

But there was no radio or tv performance to sustain it so it dropped. NE only made it to #25 on itunes but by guess is if Adam had released it on Friday instead of Weds., it would have still been high enough for the performance to push it up higher. By the time he performed, it was all the way down to 175. But we shall see what more they have planned for the song. My thing is I would like to see Adam get on more charts than just CHR/HAC if they send it to radio. Stop limiting his appeal and exposure and it might help.
