Unfortunately, I took a look at that Twitter account and they had a separate list for touring and they didn't even make the top 10. There were also lists for streaming and publishing, which they did make. So if this list is for sales, I'm guessing it might mean record sales, which Adam isn't a part of. Definitely impressive for Brian and Roger. There are a lot of different lists. It depends on what you look at at. The one I saw that I thought was more noticeable related to touring was a per show deal, I forget the exact details. QAL was 3rd or 4th. Anyone ahead of them had more shows or more arena capacity. Like I said can't remember the exact details this was a while back. Was it the same Twitter account? I looked at the one posted 4 hours ago from the same account. I'm not sure how to embed. Rolling Stones was at the top at $60.5 million. ETA: Found a way to get a link. twitter.com/touringdata/status/1295492590104707074?s=20

I love seeing Eber's bar chat again. It's very funny. Easy to see where Adam gets his wit and worldplay skills. I would have loved to see Fever be Adam's first single. Nobody was ready for FYE. And to me, WWFM is way too tame. Fever would have been a good compromise between the rather pedestrian WWFM and the super sexual FYE. Fever is a good middle ground, sexy but not raunchy. Oh well. It's all history now. I think Fever would have been good too. I think it was Michelle Collins who said it had an immediate hook with just a few notes. Gaga was huge at the time so I would think some of her fanbase would have bought it. He always kills it live, complete with a great high note, and in The Original High tour he had some nice choreography to go with it.

As I recall, after the episode where AFL found himself in the bottom three, Simon cautioned the voting audience 'out there' to remember that their votes counted, and they should not become complacent. I venture to say that he was implying that Adam was SO GOOD people were not bothering to vote as they had been - - - no one could compare, so 'why vote'? I was able to find some information on Zabasearch. "In past years, Zabasearch’s American Idol predictions have been incredibly accurate, prompting some critics to falsely insist that Zabasearch and the producers of the show were in cahoots. Zabasearch’s original prediction methods drew a large online following by accurately predicting the outcome of American Idol each of the last six weeks of the 2006, 2007, and 2008 seasons. Zabasearch published the correct voting results 10 hours prior to the results show airing on FOX. The site’s predictions have been covered by several publications including USA Today, Chicago Tribune, and the LA Times." www.prweb.com/releases/2012/3/prweb9332854.htmSo how does this site that had so much accuracy for the last six weeks of 3 seasons all of a sudden get it so wrong?

I don't believe that Adam was ever in the bottom 2. I remember following a site called Zaba search who did Idol predictions at the time. If I recall correctly, they were pretty accurate. Anyway, I remember them putting out a statement that according to their stats, they didn't believe Adam was in the bottom 2. I remember reading comments on there and 99% of them were flailing over Adam. It's like he was a rock star. I also do believe in "text gate" despite AI coming back and saying everything was fair. I don't think a state of less than 3 million in 2009 could generate 38 million votes unless there was power texting. Adam was in the bottom 2 along with Matt Giraud. Yes, I know but I don't believe votes wise he was. I think it was manufactured. Remember at the time, Adam was water cooler talk. People were talking about it at work. People were talking about him on TV. He was on a magazine cover. Eber said it was like he was a Beatle. During the Idol concerts, people were screaming any time his picture showed up. People waited at the barricades for hours and were screaming when he came out to sign autographs. They were chanting his name and ignored everyone else. I know because I was one of those people and I attended 4-5 of those concerts. And after Idol, during his first tour, people were sleeping on the streets to get into his shows. Has there been ANY idol who got this much attention, ever? So no, I don't believe after one performance, which was actually very good, that all of a sudden people were disappointed and stopped voting for him. Also, he wasn't in a season where there was a lot of exceptional talent.

I'm rewatching season 8 of American idol. Im on top 5. Just dawned on me. How close we were to QAL never happening. As you recall. Adam was in the bottom 2 that week. If he was eliminated. QAL never happens. Spike the keyboardist. Was saying he discovered Adam on idol when he sang whole Lotta love. Would of never happened if he was eliminated. I don't believe that Adam was ever in the bottom 2. I remember following a site called Zaba search who did Idol predictions at the time. If I recall correctly, they were pretty accurate. Ha! I think we all have our favorites. So if I had to pick the first single, it would have been the song Adam co-wrote with Ryan Tedder. "Sleepwalker." But all of his tv performances of WWFM were exciting and just so good. He made the performances more rock like and sexy. At the end of the day, he was not going to be allowed to release his first one or two singles unless they were Dr. Luke's. I was so glad when he was no longer a factor. TBH, I was also glad when Adam broke from Max Martin. They seemed to work well for the ladies but they never really seemed to capture Adam and play to his enormous strengths, imo. I don't remember Adam co-writing "Sleepwalker". I just looked it up and the wiki doesn't have him as a co-writer.

Thank you deb5anne! That explains it. I guess this is what hapoens when you're not keeping up with Adam for too long. That ABC guy seemed so out of place but now that you explain it, it makes sense. I appricate your explanation and their efforts but I still hold a grudge against ABC. I guess it's because it was at the begining of Adams' career and it made his road longer. He is hugely successful anyway but still. A face from the past! So good to see you again, angelkrash! I think that the ABC guy also did one of the early in depth interviews with Adam. I distinctly remember the two of them sitting opposite each other in the video. Yeah, I never questioned the ABC guy because he interviewed Adam soon after Idol. The one I couldn't understand was Joe Jonas. I couldn't find any evidence that he was a huge Queen or Adam fan.

I think it’s the same person, the YT channel is called Dunmore’s Movie Mania and the article is by Jon Dunmore eta: how did you remember something like this? I am blown away! Ahh, I didn't even bother to look at the name. I am so relieved it is the same guy. I remember at the time, it being the best article I've ever read about Adam. The high-heels comments and Adam being better than his old idols really stood out. I never had it bookmarked but I even remembered "poffy" so I just typed in "poffy Adam Lambert" for the URL in Chrome, and I could see it in the list of sites I had visited in the past. I surprised myself as I usually can't remember what I had for dinner the previous night.
