Not sure if this was already posted but I read that Adam would be on Kelly Clarkson March 24. Looks like tickets are free. 1iota.com/fanbase/view/1818

My DH and I had watched season 5 but apparently missed the Queen episode so we watched it together. We somewhat liked Kellie and Elliott, but thought Chris Daughtry was awful. Terrible vibrato. Couldn't understand why the judges were flailing. I am not sure why Adam gets criticism by Queen fans about having a goat vibrato and not being very rock, but Daughtry's and sometimes even Freddie's sound way more goat-like to me.
I think I am at a point where most singers don't sound good to me because of Adam. I watched several of this year's Kennedy Honor's performances on YouTube and I thought they were lackluster. Were there any moments like Believe that I might have missed? John Legend just doesn't do anything for me. None of the other singers impressed me either even though the comments on the videos were mostly flailing.
I also watched Frozen 2 and I thought the closing "Into the Unkown" was awful. Just sounded like repetitive shouting. I recalled that Brendon Urie was supposed to be singing it but wasn't sure and had to check it later. Asked my DH what he thought of the song and he thought it was awful for the same reasons and had no idea who sang it.
Anyway, I apologize to those who are fans of these guys, as I know they are much bigger in the music industry than Adam. But vocally, I think Adam blows all of them away.

The Ireland first concert was in Belfast.
I have always smiled, Queen and Adam didn't know where they were, except in Ireland Didn't Adam think it was Scotland? Yeah, I remember that he said that in some interview. My DH is Scottish so that's why it stuck out to me.

Cool. Hope there were some Adam fans watching last night to tweet about it. Always great to have last week's guest performer on again even if only in audio. And great they could find a suitable QAL version. Are you implying that is Adam? Because I am pretty sure it is not. First verse sounds similar, but the second verse lacks the "overdrive" (as Meat Loaf likes to call it), and the phrasing is taken from Freddie's performances. Adam has had a very specific interpretation of the song for 7 years, and he has never done a "Look out!" either. Exactly! I know how Adam's "overdrive" sounds so that's why I didn't think it was him. There was no punch at all.

Yeah, I didn't think it was Adam on first listen (I didn't think it was that good), then had to watch it again after seeing Jablea's comment. I still don't think it is him. There is a comment on the video from the actual singer, Mitchel Emms.

First of all, momtomany, I wanted to say how happy I was to hear that you and your home are safe. You've been in my prayers ever since I found out. Have a great time tonight!!!! You deserve it. Slash said the only reason he asked to mentor on Idol was to work with Adam. And of course he got that chance on rock week. What I remember is that Slash saw Adam on TV and was so blown away that he asked a friend who worked at Idol if he could come watch him. And accordingly to Slash, it was Idol who asked Slash to mentor. There was an interview on YouTube but I can't really find it but I found this article where he says they asked him www.accessonline.com/articles/welcome-to-the-jungle-slash-talks-mentoring-american-idols-final-four-70732I find it interesting all the changes in the story of how Queen discovered Adam. I always found it weird that Roger didn't even remember Adam's last name after they performed on Idol (around 7:56). www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU0qbfXE0wsThat's fine. But I'm pretty sure I read that Slash agreed because of Adam. It was Adam that was of interest to him and not the show in general. Yeah, I remember he had no interest in the show. Found another quote on Adam 24/7 although original source is not found. adamlamberttv.blogspot.com/2013/01/slash-praises-adam-lambert-in-new.html“I actually did ‘American Idol’ for a second - I was a mentor. They talked me into it, they twisted my arm and I ended up doing it. It was because, at the time, Adam Lambert was on it and I thought he was a great singer. The first time I saw him, I went down there because a friend of mine works at the studio and checked him out. Once I went down there I was captive. It was an interesting experience but I would never do it again.”

There is no way Queen would’ve agreed to perform with anyone but Adam - I am not even adding the “IMO” here, I am 1000% sure! I agree. There would be no reason for Queen to perform with Danny and Kris. They were not rockers and did not rock on the show except for rock week and that was not good, lol. They may not book the performers that far in advance but maybe reach out to them ahead of time just in case. I remember when Caleb Johnson made the finale he said he would like to perform with Queen or Adam. He thought Adam was one of the best rockers to appear on the show. Of course he got neither Queen or Adam but he did perform with KISS. On a different note, Slash said the only reason he asked to mentor on Idol was to work with Adam. And of course he got that chance on rock week. My guess is Adam thinks if he had not performed BR on the audition that Idol may not have cast him in the "rocker" role and Queen may not have been on everyone's mind. And I agree that many were contacting Brian about Adam but it was the WLL episode that Spike sent to Roger that got everyone to really take notice and start to pay attention. Chances are, that even without the BR audition, they would have kept Adam on their radar if he had done a lot of rock stuff on Idol. There was so much buzz about him. And I don't think Idol plays around with the voting. They desperately wanted Adam to win over Kris. If they did not make it happen then, when it would have given Idol a much needed different look, I doubt they did it at all. According to its wiki, "Welcome to the Show" was a power ballad. I hated that song. That song was not on any album and certainly was not released to radio and given a chance. It was used for a NHL sports show so not my idea of a beautiful emotional ballad and obviously not theirs either. But I guess we all have different standards and wants. I would still love to see Adam release a beautiful ballad to radio and perform it on tv And not with some girl with a voice that I don't really care for and that includes Alisan and the young lady on WTTS, lol. CTY is beautiful and in a class of its own. I would at least like to see it get a chance if SP does well. I was responding to the "Adam has never released or performed a beautiful ballad of his own on tv". If WTTS is a ballad, he did perform that on TV but it certainly wasn't beautiful IMO, so I guess you're still right. There are tons of artists who have huge hits with ballads. I don't see any reason why Adam shouldn't unless they simply don't play it on the radio. Speaking of ballads, I have only heard "You Are The Reason" for the first time on AGT, and the song is a couple of years old. Looking up its stats, the song never made BB Hot 100, or chart high on any BB chart or any other major music market chart but had multiple gold/platinum certifications world-wide and over a billion streams. How does this happen? Due to chart position, I don't think it got a lot of radio play. Would love it if Adam could get one of these type of hits with a ballad. And the artist and his duet partner were both from a reality show.
