Slightly off topic but because I know there are many Idol fans here, some Kelly fans and a ton of Jane Austen fans.... from the Daily Mail:I hope the museum raises enough money. I love Kelly, but it should stay there, IMO. (Jane Austen is my favorite author) I am surprised she still wants to buy it knowing how people feel about it.

OT mostly but I just got some great news! I have been working on some research for about 2-1/2 years that was a bit off-of-center (that is not mainstream). There have been many times when I just wanted to quit and be "normal". I just get official support from not only the highest level of my University but also another major University that is located about 20 miles away and is working in similar areas. It is a big deal. Not just support for the research project but support for me! In the tough times, looking at what Adam and more importantly Adam fans are capable of has been part of my inspiration to just do it and not worry about what people think, or what credentials I lack, or what I do not know, or so many other reasons to just go back to doing what I know how to do -- and be normal! Congrats, Q3!!!! Thanks for all you do for us here. It was also great meeting you in person at Del Mar. I remember you talking about your job during dinner and it sounded quite fascinating. Thanks also for making sure I got in and out of the venue safely. Hope to see you again at a future Adam concert.

I never really knew much about Nancy Sinatra other than she had sung that Boots song. I decided to read her wiki and it seems like she was a bit controversial. She was involved in one of the first interracial kisses on TV with Sammy Davis, Jr., one of her songs, "Kinky Love" was banned from some radio stations for suggestive lyrics, and she posed for Playboy when she was 54. No wonder she "gets" Adam.

Just a gut feeling, but the fact that Niles and Adam are both on Lay Me Down, both internationally know quantities might provide credance to this song being the second single release. I suppose it is presumptuous on my part, in as much as Avicii has world play right now... so it would not matter which single he released. But I feel with my bones the Niles/Adam combo is a winning combo. I met with a friend who relocated from NY back to California the other day. She is a non-fan. When I asked her if she knew who Nile Rodgers was, she said "Yeah, the guy from Chic. That guy is everywhere. Didn't realize he worked with all those other artists." It got me thinking, if this is someone who is not following Adam (and therefore Nile) and she is seeing Nile all over the place, other people must be too. Since he's kinda "hot" at the moment, I hope they do pick LMD as the single. Also, I hadn't heard of or know the background of any of the other featured artists. Do any of them have the same kind of success/clout as Nile? Just wondering if perhaps Nile being a legend, if there was any kinda agreement that the song he worked on must be a single at some point (Nile was already calling it a smash and how can something not a single ever be a smash?).You know, like how Claude Kelly and Dr. Luke were behind Adam's first singles even though they weren't the best songs. I do think LMD is a great song though.

We Are Young had a blip up after Glee covered it, but became a hit because it was featured in a Superbowl commercial. And regarding Cuckoo -- forget about it. There will be no new singles from Trespassing and that era is over. Adam has moved on. We are very lucky to have "Love Wins Over Glamour" and LMD. And I am sure that we have more new music to come. ETA: 4Msrmyn I completely agree about Glee. Still wonder though if it would have been featured in the Superbowl at all if the Glee version did not do well on the charts. From the wiki, it still seems as though Glee was the precursor to it becoming a big hit. However, it was soon covered by the television show Glee. With the Glee version having success on the charts, the song was licensed for use in a Chevrolet Sonic commercial that aired during Super Bowl XLVI.

If Adam had Katy Perry success or even Bruno Mars, it could be a possibility they might allow him to sing his own songs. He has had only one successful song and one moderately successful one. I wouldn't count on Glee letting Adam sing his own songs. I don't even think it's that type of show, anyway. But not everything they sing on the show is from a high selling artist. They have had opera/boradway musical songs too. So I could see them doing maybe 1 of Adam's songs if it fits in, but only if it really fits the script. I don't see them doing a whole show dedicated to Adam's songs, at least not this season. Didn't that We Are Young song become popular after Glee covered it? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_Are_YoungWhy couldn't they do the same with Cuckoo?

Thanks everyone for the responses regarding Shoshanna's tweets. I thought it was too good to be true. Funny, when I first read it, I was thinking, maybe it is the Nick Gardner guy and they were just joking around. I even googled "Nick Gardner" and saw a entry for an LA-based cover singer, so I thought a cover singer would not be signed to Interscope. Guess Nick Gardner is a pretty common name. :(

Was on AO and noticed someone posted a Twitter exchange between Shoshanna and someone who responded to her tweet talking about listening to some demo from a male artist on Interscope. Everything in bold is from that post. shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 7h Listening to a demo on repeat. I am so gonna get demo-itis Expand Nick Gardner @nrhgardner 6h @shoshannastone Which demo is this!! Expand shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 6h @nrhgardner one that an artist just sent me Expand Nick Gardner @nrhgardner 6h @shoshannastone Oh yeah? Which artist! Expand shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 6h @nrhgardner male. Great voice. Signed to Interscope Hmmm--male... great voice...SIGNED TO INTERSCOPE. As far as I know, Shosh has only 3 male clients--Usher, John Legend, and Adam. None of them is listed YET on the Interscope website. BTW, CherryTree is an Interscope label. Don't know if that was already posted somewhere.
She went on to post another exchange stemming from the same tweet: Here's more, another question and reply stemming from the same post: shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 7h Listening to a demo on repeat. I am so gonna get demo-itis Expand David Russell @17days 6h @shoshannastone do I know which one it is...? Expand shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 3h @17days I actually have 2 on the go and you definitely do know one if them. And that's been going on for 2 days now and not relenting. So, what songs can we think of that have had a lot of press "for 2 days and not relenting"???I don't want to get my hopes up but do you think she could possibly be talking about Adam? Just because she is listening to a demo, I am not assuming that it is one of her clients. www.adamofficial.com/us/node/2250273

I don't remember that he traveled with a vocal coach. More info please. I remember before (?) GlamNation a student of an LA vocal teacher Twittered that his lesson got changed because Adam Lambert wanted a coaching session. That's all I've ever heard. Also I remember Adam saying that he worked with a coach to alter song keys, etc., for GN to make sure he would not over stress his voice. I've seen several references to the coach, but it was at least a couple of years ago, during GNT. Maybe someone knows more about it. I had just read that he used a vocal coach for GN but I didn't get the impression he traveled with him. David Stroud, a Los Angeles based vocal teacher, coached Adam Lambert for his 2010 international Glam Nation Tour, in which Adam Lambert performed 113 shows without vocal rest.[202] Stroud described Adam Lambert as being able to "do extreme things with his voice that most singers will probably never be able to do.”www.jewwatch.com/jew-entertainment-lambert-adam.html
