Just gave another donation in the final push for Adam and NCOE..
Adam has given me three years of joyous music,he has educated me on all types of artists and he has filled my life with happiness. I wish I had loads of money to contribute ,because he so deserves to be in the top 10 in the UK.
I so wish for Adam to capture the English hearts in every way.

I don't think anyone can accurately describe Idol as being on its last legs until its ranking slips considerably. Ratings are down, but ratings are down for network television in general. What matters is comparison, and compared to other shows, Idol is still doing very well. It's the #1 or #2 show every week when it's on. Most shows would kill for its numbers even with the drop in viewership it has experienced in the last few years. Idol started out with such phenomenal numbers that it was bound to lose steam eventually.
Will Adam help the ratings? Who knows? But the weekly exposure is bound to help Adam. That's all I care about. Even if the ratings continue to drop, I doubt anyone but the haters would blame Adam for it. (And of course the haters would blame Adam for the loss of the rain forest and the unemployment rate. Who cares what they say?) Most people know that all shows face dwindling audiences when they've been on for a long time.

Looking at the crowd pics brings back something that Roger said during the interview where he, Brian and Adam sat with the translator, "We just had our dress rehearsal in front of hundreds or thousands of people." Adam like gulped and then smiled. It was almost as if he hadn't heard the number said out-loud. Kiev will always be one of the best for me because it was the first, the stream was unexpected and GREAT, I keep hearing about "issues" but honestly I was so honed in on the experience that I STILL don't hear them. The whole moment was just too much to even wish for.... Not to be negative but listen again to the first verse of Show Must Go On....OUCH. And the band screwed up a few times too - I Want It All where Rog came in too early, and Fat Bottomed Girls when Adam came in too early.... Nothing concert ruining (though TSMGO came close ) but there were definitely hiccups. Much better by London though... You don't even have idea how happy I'm that I don't hear those hiccups ;D On the other hand I perfectly understand what you are talking about - as a digital artist I cringe everytime when I see mistakes in otherwise excellent work of art.

Wow, JazzRocks, that picture completely captures the magic of Kiev.
Eta---Idol may be on its last legs, but it has given Adam more buzz and media attention than a #1 album and Queen mini-tour

Actually what Adam said was (paraphrasing) when asked without any time to think about it "sure that would be great" or something like that. But not to quibble fandom has decided this would be great for his career so it must be so. Thankfully there are others around him who can look at the angles and provide him with some perspective as to what hitching his rising star to a falling and failing one might mean. Well it certainly can't hurt. His career right now aint exactly at a sky high(not counting queen) ??? the "falling and failing" one is still #1 on the US TV in terms of # of viewers. I can't see how it can be dismissed, not to mention the $$s that could enable other projects. Running around the radio station and singing in front of 20-100 people is nuts! I can't believe how humiliating this process is.

I don't have any problem with Adam being a multi-media personality -- means to an end -- fuck radio.

Yes, but until a complete London performance or a "Best of" DVD appears, I am happy to watch that Kiev concert in its entirety. Having it all together, instead of in clips, makes it a real experience for me. Guess I'm lucky I'm not a perfectionist... And it isn't just the music - it's the joy of performing they all share... :2tears:

Maybe part of the trick is to get Adam on a panel of judges who are relevant and "cool." I would bet that Adam's team would want to have some idea of who he would be sitting with every week. That could make all the difference.
