I just tried to get 2 tickets together at FS at the high price level and couldn't. Only singles were available. At the next lowest price, I was able to pull seats together but they are way in the back or up high on the sides. Seriously, no one goes to Indio in July. I think the sales here look fine. Not na sold out show, but respectable. And Costa Mesa is a huge venue. He's sold about 5,000 seats. Again, not sold out, but respectable. Did Scotty sell out his show? No!! He has sold a bit more than Adam though. Scotty has sold more than Martina McBride! Weird! |

To me, what Adam needed to introduce the album was TV, much more TV than he did. If you compare the launch of FYE with launch of TP, it is clear that FYE had much more of a push on TV. He could still use TV to push his music. Adam is a visual, as well as an aural artist. Look at Michael Buble, one of the world's biggest concert attractions as well as someone who sells a lot of cd's. He is not on Top 40 radio with the exception of the one hit he had a few years ago. But he has effectively used TV to build his fan base. Of course, it probably helps that he does Xmas music and sings safe, middle of the road classics, and has the sexual appeal of a slug. (Hope I'm not offending any fans.) Clearly, though he has had good management with a real marketing plan. That was the May timing. Not a good time for TV. Lots of shows on hiatus and no award shows. |

Oh well no word from LadyOz so guess I'm shit out of luck for this one... :-[ Was a long shot... Bridgeymah--the Take40 website said to follow them on facebook or something and there would be more opportunities later to get tickets. At least, I think I read that. Also, Naked Love for condoms...you're hilarious! P.S. I so wanted to go to Fantasy Springs, as I'm sure something epic will occur there again, but I just can't afford it--plane tickets are so expensive and the time was too much away from my kids. So, I lurk at Atop for all the goodies. But I understand how badly you want to see him live--you're not alone!  Is all ok - LadyOz joins the goddess list (ie looks like she managed a ticket for me) WHOOO HOOOOOO. (squee) |
