That was the May timing. Not a good time for TV. Lots of shows on hiatus and no award shows. Adam appearing on Idol the week Tresspassing release didn't seem to help either the album or single (or am I mistaken). What kind of TV appearances would be likely to help sales? I believe most of Michael Buble & Josh Groban's TV appearances were concerts (same ones as for sale on DVD) played on PBS. Would this be a good strategy for Adam or is the PBS viewage the wrong demographic? Maybe one of the Queen+AL concerts on PBS might work? A song has to have had some significant radio play for a TV performance to give it a big bump. Pretty much, the bumps from an Idol performance this season, were only big for JLo! Don't even get me started on the timing RCA used for the 2 singles!!

Whether or not Adam gets the AI gig, there will hopefully be lots of TV this fall where he can hopefully promote the third single just before Grammy nom time.

Looks like it! .. Fantasy Spring twitted something about the ticket as well. You limit who can come when you do casinos. Poor Adam. Fucking radio!!! Not "poor Adam", more like "ka-ching Adam"! My understanding about these casino gigs is that performers get paid a flat negotiated fee, not completely based on actual ticket sales, cuz they get people come in the casino to spend money on lodging, drinks and gamble, etc. It's very lucrative which is why everybody does it, even the big names.

You are correct! So eat, drink, and gamble so they will keep wanting Adam back!

Josh Groban has frequently been cohost on Kelly Ripa's morning show. Shows like this let a performer display personality and build fan base. Adam shows us his wit, humor and courage in his interviews, but unfortunately they are on radio and have limited audiences.
I'm not a Josh Groban fan, though he clearly has talent and a great voice. I prefer someone more edgy. I'm just saying it would be great if Adam had more couch time on TV. Even when he was on Graham Norton he really didn't get time to just "be Adam".

Look at Michael Buble, one of the world's biggest concert attractions as well as someone who sells a lot of cd's. He is not on Top 40 radio with the exception of the one hit he had a few years ago. But he has effectively used TV to build his fan base. Of course, it probably helps that he does Xmas music and sings safe, middle of the road classics, and has the sexual appeal of a slug. (Hope I'm not offending any fans.) Clearly, though he has had good management with a real marketing plan. That's what I see Adam eventually becomes---one of the world's biggest concert attractions, among other things. Oh, LOL at your description of Buble's sexual appeal!

One thing though I would point out, Winstar is about an hour and a half north of Dallas, it's kinda out in the middle of BFE. Kelly Clarkson and The Fray are going to be there a week or so after Adam, they're selling those tickets 2 for the price of one. I didn't pull up the chart for that show to see how many were left. Pitbull will be there the week after Adam, he's sold more than Adam but there's still quite a few left for him, more than I would have expected. Kelly Clarkson & The Fray are gonna share the stage in Phoenix next month, too. Ya know? actually this is such a good idea considering the current state of economy, maybe Adam could co-headline with someone too....cut down the cost of touring and expand the audience. The big question is who has the balls to share the same stage with AFL!?....LOL Okay, joking aside, I really like the idea, especially for the int'l leg of tour if he could get someone that is more popular overseas than him right now.
