My problem with texting Z100 continues. I've tried long, short, please and thank you. Their text back to me says to use another keyword. Could it be I'm texting NY with a 202 area code which is DC? I've been texting them for weeks though with no problem. This started on Friday. My last text was, "Please play Adam Lambert NEVER CLOSE OUR EYES, Thank you!" Before that I used "Request NEVER CLOSE OUR EYES - Adam Lambert" This is the one that used to always work. Any help would be appreciated! I am texting from the local NYC phone and I CANNOT find ANY combination to be accepted. Short, long, medium... nothing. At this point I stopped trying.

OK, slow day, so I take my chance. This is about Adam's voice: You see, I am musically challenged person, very much so. I cannot participate of discussions about keys and pitch, all I can do is to FEEL it. However my brain is in some weird way making physical structures out of music, that's how I often "see" it. ( You know some people see mathematics as colours and forms, maybe this is somehow related to that ). And Adam's voice is represented as layers, with some topografic fomulations. London was the very first time I heard him sing live, and before that, I always thought there was 2 layers in his voice. And now in both London gigs I found this 3rd layer, that is actually like a backgroud layer, like foundation of all his voice. The most lovely part of it. And now the issue is why I cannot hear it at all in his CDs, and only very seldom in any concert recordings? Is there something that avoids technology, or do I have something wrong in my ears? Anybody else having similar experience? I have been reluctant to hear his music after London, since I fear I lose this 3rd layer, that is still echoing in my head. Anyhow London was a VERY expensive trip, since after that I have use every opportunity to hear him perform live . Wow, your layers discussion is just beautiful! What you hear, in person, is what we have all talked about. It is why we get so excited when we know someone on the board is hearing him live, for the first time, and we want to hear all about it. There is something about Adam's live voice, that no recording captures, no matter how good it is. I don't know what it is, but it is there! It is why you are stunned the first time. It is why you must hear more. It is why he is so addictive.

I also feel another ~layer to his voice live that just does not seem to be captured by the videos. Had the luck and opportunity to see him live in London and here in the East coast RMT, GNT, un mic-ed and in radio concerts and cannot explain why but when I see the videos from the same shows it is not the same. Could be the added excitment for a live concert but I think it is more... In all cases but especially in Foxwood, London & un-mic-ed I think it was also some kind of resonance as i could feel some of the songs in my skin/body if it makes sense...

I'm excited that I've been able to catch up so easily today!
It's been so much fun watching all the fantastic videos from FS! He was really off the charts that night. I'm probably alone in this but I find his OTT "sexy" moves more fun than sexy. Adam is one of the sexiest men I have ever seen, but I find him sexiest when he's just being himself. Sitting & TALKING. Am I weird? Not at all! The whole sexiness on the speakers makes me do nothing but giggle! But I think we are supposed to. Do you see that huge, "I am ridiculous, but wasn't that fun" smile when he gets back to the mike stand?! But those moves during Fever are another story!
Sooooo glad I'm not the only one when he goes OTT with the sexy moves. Maybe snicker is better, cause I do. It's the subtle sexy that floats my boat.

I'd say forget Z! I texted "Pls play Never Close Our Eyes". It worked for several weeks until last week. I always get a reply from Z100. Yesterday, I texted again, using the same message, and it worked again, received a reply message as well. I have a 630 area code. So I'll keep texting until it rejects.

[looks resigned]
Actually I think "Lambert" *is* a keyword at Z100.....
And the rejected texts back are a not-so-subtle message from the station that they are simply not going to play him at this time. They can't make "Never" "Close" "Our" "Eyes" keywords as those words exist in too many other songs.
(Think of Haymitch methodology of indicating to Katniss that "one kiss equals one pot of broth". Same deal of sayin'-without-sayin'.)

Although, I have not request, via text, from Z100 a lot. :-/
