I also feel another ~layer to his voice live that just does not seem to be captured by the videos. Had the luck and opportunity to see him live in London and here in the East coast RMT, GNT, un mic-ed and in radio concerts and cannot explain why but when I see the videos from the same shows it is not the same. Could be the added excitment for a live concert but I think it is more... In all cases but especially in Foxwood, London & un-mic-ed I think it was also some kind of resonance as i could feel some of the songs in my skin/body if it makes sense... Yes!! That's it! In person you can actually feel his voice!! Thank you for your comments! So I am still insane and NOT ALONE!!

OK, slow day, so I take my chance. This is about Adam's voice: You see, I am musically challenged person, very much so. I cannot participate of discussions about keys and pitch, all I can do is to FEEL it. However my brain is in some weird way making physical structures out of music, that's how I often "see" it. ( You know some people see mathematics as colours and forms, maybe this is somehow related to that ). And Adam's voice is represented as layers, with some topografic fomulations. London was the very first time I heard him sing live, and before that, I always thought there was 2 layers in his voice. And now in both London gigs I found this 3rd layer, that is actually like a backgroud layer, like foundation of all his voice. The most lovely part of it. And now the issue is why I cannot hear it at all in his CDs, and only very seldom in any concert recordings? Is there something that avoids technology, or do I have something wrong in my ears? Anybody else having similar experience? I have been reluctant to hear his music after London, since I fear I lose this 3rd layer, that is still echoing in my head. Anyhow London was a VERY expensive trip, since after that I have use every opportunity to hear him perform live . I also feel another ~layer to his voice live that just does not seem to be captured by the videos. There was a good bit of discussion around the time of Foxwoods about this because the acoustics were so good there (so I heard - wasn't there ). The talk was about chakras - Adam "rocks our chakras"!!! Here's some information - probably TMI: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakra

What you hear, in person, is what we have all talked about. It is why we get so excited when we know someone on the board is hearing him live, for the first time, and we want to hear all about it. There is something about Adam's live voice, that no recording captures, no matter how good it is. I don't know what it is, but it is there! It is why you are stunned the first time. It is why you must hear more. It is why he is so addictive. I agree SO much with both of you. Although for me it was not the first time I heard him live, I still can't listen to ANY YT videos from the Queen shows, I start one and I stop, his voice is still in my head, glorious, and YT don't do him justice.

I am still struggling to catch up after being away for all of Hammersmith. Can any ninja point me to the 1 hour 10 minute video by Taximanwayne? Or any other compilation.
Thanks

Real life is busy, and I have less time to comment these days, but the Costa Mesa show, and then the FS show, were so much fun! They were completely different concert experiences, and I enjoyed both of them in different but fabulous ways. It was also wonderful meeting up with so many of you who share the fun and joy that is Adam. Thanks for being as warm and accepting and enthusiastic in real life as you are here. As for the AI rumors, Adam has the ability to be a 360 kind of guy who can engage in whatever fun and profitable entertainment opportunities come his way- and the brains to figure out how to use them to generate even more opportunities. These are all ways to make money and keep himself in the public consciousness, both hard things to do in today's music business. Maybe he does a show like Pretty Little Liars, has some one off concerts, has a movie cameo/role, does some more shows with Queen, is a commentator somewhere or a judge on a reality show, puts together his own tour or some production or another, works on a side project with Nile, does some fashion work, makes a new album... all with his vocal talent as his foundation, if that makes sense. He will always want to make music and perform it for others, but he will have fun doing other things as well, maybe even simultaneously. After all, he says he gets bored easily. Acceptance of his voice as something special is out there and opportunities will come. His album has been well received critically and it is good. A few years ago, Adam couldn't have imagined having all the opportunities that he has now! As he says, this is just the beginning. He seems to want to tell us this lately, and I believe him. Adam is phenomenally talented, ambitious and driven. I want to enjoy the ride he leads me on, the fun of right now, and the crazy twists that are sure to come. I don't want to be so myopic that I lose perspective and fail to enjoy him and his big picture. When he asks me if I am having fun, lol, I want my answer to be the resounding "yes" that he so deserves.
