Gelly
You are right. The you tubes never do justice to the live experiences. But they are a great "fix" for the concerts that I can't make it to, lol.

Wow, your layers discussion is just beautiful! What you hear, in person, is what we have all talked about. It is why we get so excited when we know someone on the board is hearing him live, for the first time, and we want to hear all about it. There is something about Adam's live voice, that no recording captures, no matter how good it is. I don't know what it is, but it is there! It is why you are stunned the first time. It is why you must hear more. It is why he is so addictive. I agree SO much with both of you. Although for me it was not the first time I heard him live, I still can't listen to ANY YT videos from the Queen shows, I start one and I stop, his voice is still in my head, glorious, and YT don't do him justice. Yes Gelly! And this very Adam issue. I have never had similar experience with other performers I have had a pleasure to listen, weather it has been POP, jazz or opera. I mean I might have missed the atmosphere of live performance, or some altered way of presenting the music, but this is very different experience. I am missing it so much, and at the same time feel so lucky and honored to have been able to be there.

I am still struggling to catch up after being away for all of Hammersmith. Can any ninja point me to the 1 hour 10 minute video by Taximanwayne? Or any other compilation. Thanks here is the channel www.youtube.com/user/taximanwayne

Forget the atmosphere of the live performance -- there is something in the quality of Adam's voice live that cannot be captured in any recorded form. I have no idea what it is. I have had a similar experience with live guitarists and bands -- but never a vocalist. Iron Maiden, Guns n Roses, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix live were quite different than they were recorded. But even the great operatic tenors that I have heard live sound similar to their studio recordings. I have no idea what it is but if someone figures it out, let me know.

[looks resigned] Actually I think "Lambert" *is* a keyword at Z100..... And the rejected texts back are a not-so-subtle message from the station that they are simply not going to play him at this time. They can't make "Never" "Close" "Our" "Eyes" keywords as those words exist in too many other songs. (Think of Haymitch methodology of indicating to Katniss that "one kiss equals one pot of broth". Same deal of sayin'-without-sayin'.) I just texted with and without "Lambert". No response to either text. IMO - something is off with their system...

I've listened to the full Fantasy Spring concert on YT 3 times already and I am SO grateful for the people who are filming!! The Queen shows are the ones I can't listen yet because I was there but I think in time I will. :D
