Beginning we saw elsewhere – the fans greeting B&R the concert cost – about $1 mil Adam mentions: 1:18 the concert rehearsals took place in total secrecy, the main surprise – is the new vocalist, Adam Lambert, the alum of the AI.. This is his first tour with the group, but it was the performance with Queen on the AI that brought Adam his win at the finale of AI [yes, this is exactly what they said ]. However no one from Queen has confirmed that Adam is a full group member. Roger Taylor, who is also the financial director of the group, has said many times that Adam is talented, a showman and is close to Freddie in his performance style. The previous experiment with the PR turned out to be a disappointment, the joint album tanked… 1:52 The situation with Lambert is the opposite: his own carrier is on the rise, his album TP that came out in March, sold over 100K in just a few days 2:05 B: we have not made any decisions. For now we are doing 6 concerts and follow our instincts. This might be the end of our collaboration or may be not. 3:15 Sergei Astakhov [actor, I suppose a big name in Russia www.fandango.com/sergeiastakhov/filmography/p80115] who came with his daughter Masha simply could not miss this show : “ there will never be this kind of music again, look, there are people from 9 year old to middle age people like me”. The actor admitted that he was waiting for this performance, and he was following Adam for the full year now. “I am quite sure that [Adam] is the only qualified person on the scene today who could compensate for Freddie not being with us. And I think that in about 2-3 years people like Adam will be the trend setters for rock, pop and anything else you want to call it. He is amazingly talented, with this outstanding voice, and that is why I am sure that today will be mobbed with people. 4:30 Producer Victor Drobush is more conservative in his expectations: ‘no one can replace Mercury but if anyone can give it some good interpretation, some interesting color and if it all works then they will tour all over the world. I think that it did not work out with Rogers…not at all…and I, like an idiot, went to Stockholm to hear them…
4:45 the moment finally came and from the very first sounds it became clear that the $1 mil was well spent. The sound and light equipment was hauled to Russia by 23 trailers. The journalists were allowed to film only the first three songs.
5:23 The show went for over 2 hours, presenting the biggest hits. Several days from now the show will go to London

lol I hate so many things about those Paisley lyrics that I think the best thing for me would be to just shut up about it. Murly's doing a pretty good job representin' anyway ;D. (Especially the point about who cares if Adam is "feminine" or not--it seems entirely beside the point to me. Some boys are "feminine," (whatever the fuck that means) and they have a hard enough time in this stupid world as it is.) My hatred (of the lyrics, don't know the man) is probably in part personal (I've never fit that well into certain boxes myself) and out of proportion. It has nothing to do with my Adam-fanning but easily predates that. In fact, I probably fell for Adam in part because these feelings were already so well established, and he spoke to them.
But I do want to say that in addition to being offensively dismissive and mocking of people who don't fit into clear gender stereotypes, I think the song is massively insulting to women, and EVEN MORE insulting to MEN! Luckily, none of the men in my life is remotely this stupid and limited. I'm getting that familiar feeling that someone is describing a world I've never visited, but it's okay--I prefer to live in my world, he can keep his. I guess I just feel more defensive of the little kids who are confused about their gender roles and sexuality than I do of the men and the women who are also insulted by this song's bullshit but are tough enough to laugh it off. But hey, my sense of humor is a little stunted when it comes to this issue. If some of you find it easier to laugh about it, that's fine--I'm not trying to attack you for it. And as far as I'm concerned (I said this last night) Paisley may be a good dude in other ways and may be good on the AI panel. I'll just go stare at that excessively adorable babynunckle photo until I retrieve my zen--I'm sure it's hidden in there somewhere.

It seems that until Brad Paisley was mentioned as a possible judge on Idol and people thought he might get it over Adam no one gave two shits about this song and now all of the sudden it's an outrage to be dissected for all the underlying homophobia and what it might mean for Adam if he has to sit next to someone who would dare write a song intended to be FUNNY..... Research Brad Paisley before you pass judgment on him. well...i have never heard of Brad until now... I will probably never listen to his singing regardless of what he chooses to sing about... the reality is that what we think as FUNNY tells the story about us... so here we go.... ... he talks to his audience - the deep south or whomever else listens to country music, with all it brings to the table...they understand him... I don't. .. besides.. I like men that "groom", and take care of themselves and do what I want them to do ;D - like REAL MEN SHOULD. ;D
