I was talking to my husband about this. I think AI does spend money on their judges . They want visibility and I think this is another good reason in favor of this endeavor. Notice how well dressed the judges were, they are on talk shows, articles etc. I would expect money and promotion thrown his way should the heaven's declare him a judge. If indeed Adam is in negotiations to become a judge (and I believe he is) then I am certain that what promo he will get and what he wants are part of the negotiations. I have a lot of faith in DMG to do this right! IDK His prmo has big one big "F" up so I don't trust anyone anymore. I want to keep the faith BUT first, WHEN WILL WE GET CONFIRMATION????????????????? My stomach is in a knot just waiting... |

As far as I can tell, Brad Paisley (whom I'd never heard of before now) has been mentioned as a possible judge in one article? If I remember correctly, Miley Cyrus, Aretha Franklin, Fergie, Will.I.Am, Perez, and even Charlie Sheen have all been mentioned in more media than Paisley. Maybe we can argue about them for awhile? If Paisley starts getting more buzz than these people, and if it starts to look remotely serious (as it does with Adam), then I'll give it more than a minute's thought. Until then, meh. Clearly the discussion has moved on from BP to some mud throwing contest done under the pretense that it is about LGBT rights. I am well aware that there is a spectrum of positions you can take on whether things are just a joke or somewhat questionable to being outright offensive. This is true for many topics i.e. homosexuality, outward appearance, behavior, social class of upbringing, speech and many other topics too. The level of judgment on this site right now is disgusting me. That's all folks. |

Re : Brad Paisley as Idol judge (although I have no idea who he is LOL!) I googled him and he is on tour until mid October and then goes to Europe in November. So unless he cancels these concerts its unlikely he would be a judge..no ??

If not today or tomorrow, then I would say Mid-August because Idol likes to be the center of attention and probably won't release judge info during the Olympics. |

Do we really think he belongs on American Idol? Unless he was "just kidding" or song writing really doesn't mean anything...or one can not be understood just by listing to the words they use??? How else do we come to know someone? Or is just that songs are different from standard dialogue???? He did write this himself....
Is this really the man of your dreams? honestly...it sure is not mine. Good grief..when he sees a deer he wants to kill it...likewise a fish...and we wonder why we would expect him to use a gun with violence...remember that a gun has one purpose only...to kill...
If these lyrics are just 'fun' and you can't really judge a man by his words, pray tell how we are to recognize danger or love....

Hi!!!! Nica, thanks for your translation of that Russian TV piece--- wow and yay!!! Think of how many new fans Adam has all over the world!!! If he wasn't known before, he is now. If he wasn't respected as a musical presence-- well he certainly is now. I've been away so long and missed so much I can't even attempt to catch up. But glad I stumbled back today to catch that little gem. And--Adam on Idol? If he gets it the entire country will have a living, breathing, gorgeous gay man to fall in love with. One who is his own man, who refuses to buckle to expectations or stereotypes. What a lesson that will be for our poor, divided, confused and yet increasingly-open-to-change country. Oh and as far as Brad really becoming an Idol judge. It was one source and a small rumor. I say he isn't even being considered. His tour, however, for the question upthread, would not interfer. The Idol judges do not work as many days as they would like you to think they do!  ETA: Joining aloha in the licking my TV thingy! ;D |
