Last rumor I heard was Adele was doing it.. but who knows, eh? my gut feeling is that Queen will be defaulting to Adam as long as Adam can do it...regardless of what that is...so, unless the Bond song has already been recorded - it will be Adam.... Vocally - neither LG nor Adele are even close to Adam. Oh I agree.. Its all about timing. Who is LG?

OT
I downloaded this video, but put the wrong title on it and couldn't find the YT again for months.
The vid is from Feb and takes a humorous look at the reasons Adam shouldn't front for Queen.

You're forgetting though that JLo has been selling a ton of singles. And she is not an album-seller (dance-type music), she fits more in the single-selling bucket at this point. I would say Idol definitely helped her single "On the floor" to take off. JLo is also touring very successfully right now. Not sure she could have done this, on the same scale, 2-3 years ago, without the fame and spotlight that Idol brought her. Do I think Adam would be ok WITHOUT Idol? ABSOLUTELY. Do I think getting on Idol would help Adam's sales, touring, and overall notoriety? YES. I think it would be hard to argue otherwise. I think there are more factors to her single hits than Idol... "On the Floor" was #1 in many countries outside the US, only #3 in the US. I credit the sales to 1. Pitbull 2. Hot Production 3. Club Play 4. Idol in US only. 5. Radio promo $$$ in US. Her next three singles have not matched the sales of OTF but were collaborations with Lil Wayne peak #41, [solo single charted #96], DA with Pitbull peak #17. Her latest single "Goin' In" from "Step Up Revolution" hasn't done much but the movie was just released. I have watched Idol for a long time and the huge audience can result in big hits BUT there are many cases where it does not. Look at Paula's two Idol era singles -- 2008 and 2009. "Dance Like There Is No Tomorrow" 2008 was Paula and Randy, and it peaked at #62 even with Idol + airplay. IF Adam's single sales had soared after all of his Idol performances, I would be on the Adam as judge = increased sales. Looking at the #92 iTunes peak for NCOE after the Idol performance (did not make digital sales chart). Adam singles performed on Idol..... WWFM -- April 14, 2010 -- significant Idol bump, heavy airplay prior Aftermath -- March 9, 2011 -- no Idol bump, no airplay, no promo NCOE -- May 17, 2012 -- modest bump, did not chart, modest promo and airplay. If Adam is on Idol and he gets a ton of radio airplay, then I think it will translate into sales. The Idol performance will activate the radio awareness and convert into sales. If Adam is on Idol and performs an amazing, got to be #1 song, like "Dynamite" or "Moves Like Jagger" or RITD, they he will get a bump. But a great performances of a good pop song that the Idol audience is not familiar with from radio or repetitive TV (commercials or promo spots or theme song use), usually does not sell that well. So if he wants to do original songs (not covers), he will still need radio and or TV repetitions for mass sales. Of course Adam will need radio, EVERY Pop artist needs radio. Being a judge on a singing show is not a guarantee of anything, but it has significantly helped the careers of several of the judges on these singing competition shows. AI basically jumpstarted Jlo floundering career. She is now back in movies, releasing worldwide mega hits, on a successful worldwide arena tour and has tons of product endorsements. Radio was more receptive to her singles due to the fact that she was all of a sudden the "it girl". The big names were up for collabs because she was popular again. She got a great song because the writers and producers knew that she had a platform to possibly have a mega hit. It all works together and one advantage feeds the others. Same thing happened for Adam Levine and to a smaller extent, Blake Shelton. Viewers like the personalities of these two judges on The Voice. Stereo Hearts was released during the first season of The Voice. Adam Levine was smart enough to do a collab with Gym Class Heroes and the song was a massive hit. Levine's performance of Moves like Jagger gave the song a great start and it was an interesting collab with Xtina. People and radio responded to the song because it was a catchy, fun song and it was coming from Levine, who Voice viewers were responding favorably to and who had a recent collab on a current mega hit. Radio gives it a chance because Adam Levine's name is everywhere and he is the new "cool white guy" that everyone likes. The song becomes a #1 song off of the rerelease of HAO. Then, album sales explode for this album that is over a year old and MLJ pushes the album to platinum. Like I said before, one thing feeds into the other. Blake Shelton has had the same type of move up the celebrity status chain since The Voice started. Demi Lovata's latest song started getting attention from the big guys at radio the second she signed on to X Factor. Now, Demi is everywhere! She hosted The Kid's Choice Awards, something she would not have been doing if she hadn't have recently signed on to the judging job. Her song is getting a chance on the radio and it is becoming a very nice hit for her. Demi is headlining radio shows, instead of being one of the artist who is opening for the headliner. In fact, she just headlined a radio show and Adam performed before her. She is moving up the celebrity popularity chain as an artist. Getting a judging spot on one of these shows IS NOT A GUARANTEE of anything, but sometimes it can jumpstart a single, album or even a career. One thing feeds into the other. It POSSIBLY can be a way to make things easier with radio or with album sales or endorsements.

Q3 said: IF Adam's single sales had soared after all of his Idol performances, I would be on the Adam as judge = increased sales. Being a judge week in week out is very different than singing one song during performance night. I agree, this doesn't sell many singles. I think one of the reason WWFM did so well after his Idol performance is that it was on the week that he got to be mentor. People got to see how nice and intelligent he is. It was more than just a quick performance spot and more like the judgeship. The judgeship would be even more potent since it would be on going throughout the season.

Here's my contribution to the "Must Have" collection, and it took me forever to find this.
Also, I realize this will be unpopular with some of yall here, but D A M N N N N how I would love to see Adam in a romantic role opposite a woman, would def be one of my all time "to die for" moments, just to see Adam and be able to fantasize about it all. This vid gets me all kinds of giddy and send tingles down my spine, my whole body, really......................
I do love Adam just the way he is, and being gay is a huge part of who he is and it makes him such a sexy and facinating and lovable MF, and I wouldn't change him for anything. Still, I would love love love to see him in a hot sexy scene with some beautiful girl.
I'm running to hide now before peeps start throwing things at me

Because of all the reasons we have been giving, these judge spots are very coveted. Adam getting one when someone more famous like Nick Jonas wants it is a very, very long shot. I am going to try to be happy that the talk this generated brought some nice press, but I am rather a poor sport and it will be hard to put on a happy face.
