Last rumor I heard was Adele was doing it.. but who knows, eh? my gut feeling is that Queen will be defaulting to Adam as long as Adam can do it...regardless of what that is...so, unless the Bond song has already been recorded - it will be Adam.... Vocally - neither LG nor Adele are even close to Adam. Sticking up a bit here for LG. She has a darn good voice - better than Adele imo. I'm not putting her in Adam's category (no one is in his category imo) but she is one of the best female voices in pop. Listen to her Lady is a Tramp with Tony Bennett.

Those not interested in Sauli, please scroll! Zinnia and I have added a new thread to Sauli Central: "Sauli in the English-speaking media." We plan to post there articles about Sauli which were originally written in English. More specifically, these are articles which focus on Sauli - there might be a mention or two about Adam, but Sauli is the main topic. Currently there are only screencaps of the Fault Magazine article posted there, as that is only English article of him of which we know so far, but if there is more similar material coming, this is the place where we will be posting them: www.adamtopia.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=sauli&thread=1053&post=286815As with the translated material, if you want to comment on the articles, please post your messages in the SC's "Comments and miscellaneous posts" thread, as we would like to have only the original articles in the articles thread. And also, if you know of articles which should be posted in the thread, please let us know, so we can add them there!

Because of all the reasons we have been giving, these judge spots are very coveted. Adam getting one when someone more famous like Nick Jonas wants it is a very, very long shot. I am going to try to be happy that the talk this generated brought some nice press, but I am rather a poor sport and it will be hard to put on a happy face. I'm not sure how to judge who's more famous. I see more mention of Adam in the media than Nick Jonas. Maybe a few years ago - but now? I don't think so.

[/IMG] Re American Idol. We're going to get also the new AI season on tv in Finland (like all the others seasons) and I'd love to see Adam on my tv twice a week. AI is watched all over the world, the international audience is huge. And they would all fall in love with him, how could they not? I really hope he gets the job, he clearly wants it too.
YESSS! This is of course how we Finns made him our own, long before Sauli . Other countries would make the same if they saw him regularly on their telly!

Well, if they pick Nick Jonas, he will be riding on past glory, but looking at some of their past choices Idol doesn't seem to care about that. Back in the day, The Jonas Brothers were true international super stars.

GREAT post, Tigerlily! What Adam needs is a jumpstart, and Idol (along with ALL the reality show judging spots) has proven to be a good jumpstart. Forget immediate sales, AI will bring opportunities. And that is what Adam needs.
Plus, AI can open a lot of minds. It is hard to resist Adam when he displays his articulate, funny, and "genuine nice guy" side. He is SO charming.
Adam will be fine if he doesn't get the gig, but AI could make everything easier. And the popularity he could see from being on TV every week would make it a lot harder for radio to ignore him.

Sometimes it is all about the perception of the producers. I know my husband was in talks about a project very recently where Nick Jonas was brought up as a possibility for a role in order "to bring in younger viewers." Too bad that project isn't green lit!

www.gulfweeklyworldwide.com/Articles.aspx?articleid=29082This article posted on page one is just restating a random rumor from a couple of weeks ago! It is a recycled rumor! AI already has Jimmy doing the mentoring every week and he pulls in mentors from time to time to help the contestants. In the past, the artists Jimmy has brought in to mentor are signed with Interscope. I guess the show could be talking to a few of the Idols to do what these artists did last year. That type of appearance was pretty limited and isn't in the same universe as far as the weekly exposure and potential push to a career that an Idol judgeship can offer! It would be better than nothing...I guess. :(
