Oh buggers!!! I want to think Adam is the new AI judge. A schedule would not be that open. Adam's schedule has never been that open except when he was working on the new album. He has a new single to promote, and I believe AI is the forum.

I've mostly stayed out of the Idol discussions but I am starting to worry about some of ya. AI started as a rumor, and sure, it has a few signs that could support it--but that's all. I think it would be more appropriate to be pleasantly surprised if Adam lands a gig that big than to be crushed if he doesn't get what we don't even know he was considered for. I am worried about the fandom's reaction when so many seem to have their hearts set that this is the answer to what we've all been fighting for for so long--and the only hope. Kay - Lol. You are just starting to worry about us now. I've been side-eyeing myself for 3 1/2 years now. I won't be crushed if Idol doesn't happen. It's just to speculate.  So true! Last night I realized I am in a cult! :-/ According to NoAngel, I am slow and should have realized that a long time ago! |

I'm sure you all are right. She's just pointing out that most men who sing that high had their balls cut off first, as a historical point of interest. Such a beautiful artform. You know, they probably sing even higher while they are being cut off and Adam probably sings that high too. But writing that might be a tad untasteful.

I'm running out of the door, so not much time for deep analysis of today's radio interview, LOL. But I think it would be unusual for Adam to keep putting himself on the line like this and making himself so vulnerable saying how much he would "love" to do it and how "thrilled" he would be, and expounding upon how "cool" it would be (when he could have cut his response short), if he didn't know he'd been chosen as an Idol judge. It's hard for me to imagine that Idol hasn't selected the judges by now, especially if Pharrell will supposedly be at auditions in a couple of weeks. And why hasn't Adam revealed the name of his new single yet? I really think the announcement of the single is tied into announcing his Idol participation, otherwise he could have announced it at any time since he first tweeted that there is a new single coming "soon." He doesn't need the artwork for a simple announcement to fans. He could always follow up with that later for a second round of interest in the single--or when it's actually released to radio or on iTunes. I felt they might have been leaning toward "Cuckoo" as the new single and now it seems to be "Trespassing." The main reason for that change would seem to be that now Pharrell's also joined Idol. And, of course, there's the fact that Adam's calendar is so open, as others have mentioned. Still on #teambelieve. For those who are interested, the first episode of season 2 of Husbands is up, featuring a very funny cameo by Joss Whedon. The theme of this one reminds me very much of things Adam has said about attitudes toward gay men. And you'll certainly see a similarity to Adam's experience in regard to a picture being shown on TV!

murly: thanks for posting the link to husbands. it is nice to start the day with a smile and a chuckle. Love their "house" too.
the audio of the jp performance is awesome. adam sounds fabulous.
I thought that Queen review was a bit confusing. And like the Australian podcast, it was uncomfortable to me with the heterosexist perspective. I wonder if I am oversensitive sometimes to the so-called gay jokes or intimations. There are other things and in other ways a person could express their opinion to get a point across more clearly. Words matter. And it is not funny to me.
I am a happy cult member. We need to step up the recruiting process! (grab a bike? knock on doors?)

Make what you want but the FACTs are:
1- Adam is a very honest and spontaneous, and he didn't say NO to idol gig when he could have done so.
2- When Adam is contractually obliged to confidential terms, he can lie
3- Adam confirmed in the last twitter party that he will work on some secret "stuff" in September.
