For those who are interested, the first episode of season 2 of Husbands is up, featuring a very funny cameo by Joss Whedon. The theme of this one reminds me very much of things Adam has said about attitudes toward gay men. And you'll certainly see a similarity to Adam's experience in regard to a picture being shown on TV!

Just an FYI for everyone - we are going to try to trend Adam4idol tomorrow at 3pm Eastern. I'll try to keep you posted. Please help if you are on twitter and feel like it. We're thinking that it can't hurt, and it might actually help if what Joe Jonas said about Nick is true, and Idol is still deciding on the judges as we speak. Could be that they are deciding b/w Adam and Nick and/or other people, and all we can do is help show that Adam has media and social media impact. Ofc, this whole theory might be totally off base and I might be totally crazy, but, again, trending can't hurt.
I'm in! It can't hurt to let Idol know that we're excited about the possibility.Count me OUT!! I find this stuff embarrassing and close to begging. Sorry but that's MHO. Lythgoe already said the fan base is too heavy handed and it doesn't help matters. A twitter trend won't help anything but it sure looks silly when Jonas gets it. I'm sure they've made up their mind by now. Last time when Tyler and JLo got the job rumors abounded several weeks before. Just like they are doing for Jonas and Paisley or Pharrell. Adam said he's never been approached and everyone is reading something into every word he says just like they did with the Olympics right to the point where some where tweeting shoshanna and asking why she was lying about it. Adam has a new single to promote and that's probably what is filling his September. I hope it's not Idol. But it's really unlikely anyway. Idol seems to attract the wrong kind of fans. It doesn't attract music people but TV watchers and based on some places I've seen on line some really scary type of people. Adam is constantly having to live down the fact he comes from Idol. He doesn't get taken seriously because of it. To have him on the judges panel puts him right back there. I'd rather see him do a guest appearance and radio promotion for his new single. Plus I don't want to have to watch the stupid show. >:( |

Maybe Adam got it and like the Queen gigs can't say anything OR maybe they never talked to him and like he said he hasn't heard anything. Funny how we all interpret these things differently. I found the Classic Rock mag review to be a positive and honest review, in that it was done by a non-Glambert, and gave equal attention to all parts of the show. I took the “curves and castrato” to refer to his VOICE as compared to freddie’s voice…sinuous and able to hit the high notes...which the author notes that Freddie always couldn’t do. I didn’t realize that this term was supposed to be an insult. I’m not sure how many readers will either. The review was done by someone who doesn’t think Adam’s vocal style is quite the right match for Queen (thinks he’s too perfect, and obviously doesn’t LIKE perfect), but nonetheless thought it was a very, very good show. Well, that was my impression anyway. Same impression as mine! Brian May thinks it is a good review too! EDit: well now I know that is not Brain May's account as per some future posts .. Anyway... I still think it is a positive review. YAH! |

A couple of weeks ago a trend organized by a Russian/Eastern European fan group trended on twitter for longer than two hours. It was "WeWantTrespassingTour" or something like that. Also, just to clarify, nobody believes that us doing this will get him the job or anything. I know we are delusional but we've got our limits LOL  It's just a way to show support and enthusiasm for this, either if he does, or does not get it. Labels (as any other public organization) definitely monitor trends on twitter as one of the many measures of public visibility and popularity. This is why Shoshanna re-tweets many of the "Adam is a trending topic" tweets. And the fact that his name trended worldwide on twitter after the Graham Norton show in the UK was included in an official press release. Having visibility IMO can't hurt any artist. Then again, YMMV, etc etc so I'm not telling anyone what to think or do, just wanted to put it out there. I know people have strong feelings about Idol hehe. |
