virg, YOUR TIMELINE IS AMAZEBALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One thing I keep coming back to is, if Adam is not being considered or was never considered, why doesn't he just do rumor control. He is so good at it. And his name is not generating a lot of press anymore, for these Idol rumors. He can get press by coloring his hair or getting a tattoo. A false Idol rumor isn't necessary!  |

Virg, that timeline is EXACTLY what I had in mind. Thanks for putting it together  It seems to me that there was a lot of early excitement---from Adam and a few other sources (Dean Piper)---which has maybe cooled in the past couple weeks. "Working on stuff" for September is an interesting way of putting it---this could be Idol, or this could be what you tell fans when there is really nothing to report at the moment. What I am finding interesting now is that a tour has basically been put on the back-burner. If there is indeed going to be a tour for Trespassing, why wait so long when there appears to be nothing on the schedule preventing it. It really is unusual for an artist to tour for an album almost a year after it's release unless there is some kind of reason for the hold-up. |

I think sometimes, all my life I've had a problem with my ears and certain tones. MC voice is not one I can listen to for any length of time. Most sopranos give me a headache and forget a violin solo. Now for a woman's voice KD Lang's voice gives me chills (of the good sort not the headache inducing kind) Adams voice is so clear and pure I can and have listened to him for hours regardless of the high notes he hits. I called Adam doing Idol on the 27th and I still think he has it. but then again I also called Olympics Queen and we know how that went. That is one great performance. Good lord, her voice can sooth the savage beast--and I really mean it. Gets me all mushy inside. |

I listened to FYE today, for the first time, in along time! Man, that is one great album! It was so great to hear Fever and VooDoo! Adam can be very proud of both albums!

The tour was planned for 2013 before the album release. That is not a change. Just like several singles were planned from the beginning. Timing may not be unusual -- depends when it starts. FYE album was released in Nov 2009, GNT started in June 2010. Trespassing was released in May 2012 -- tour in 2013. Could be about the same timing. ETA: I do not believe financing an Adam Lambert Tour is an issue. Unless he want to have a big production. |

IDK... Except not without massive promo of some kind. This is an album which has fallen off the BB200. Selling more albums/singles is not going to happen without some kind of platform. |

I just realized something, the theory that the Idol judges are picked and Mariah negotiated a time period when she was the only announced judge can only be true IF the head of FOX Entertainment, Kevin Reilly lied to the press. July 23, 2012 --- Mariah Carey is the new "American Idol" judge, and the show hopes to name the rest of its judging panel within the next two weeks, Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly announced Monday.Within two weeks ended on August 7 -- 9 days ago. He also said this.... When Adam said the new single would be announced "soon, in a week or so", I found it fit perfectly with the "2 weeks" timeline. I was expecting to hear about the idol or single last week. Then some one said that "no news during the Olympics as no one would pay attention to news then". At the same time Adam said that he couldn't announce the single because of the unfinished artwork. Let see if anything happens this week. But isn't it weird that Adam couldn't announce the single before he went to Japan. Isn't it a waste of a trip that he is there in Japan, he knows what the new single is but he can't officially promote it. I don't believe the delay of the announcement is because of the artwork. If he still has to delay the announcement, he will not be able to promote it while in Oz, either. The bold part above describes Adam so well I think they might coordinate the single annoucement with the Idol announcement whether he gets the job or not. If he gets the judging spot, then the press provides the perfect launch pad for the single being announced. If he doesn't get the job, then the single announcement could be looked at as some kind of positive "distraction" for potentially very disappointed Adam fans. |
