" Gaga's Wild Birthday Bash" www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2011/03/29/gaga-s-wild-25th-birthday-115875-23023011/
The Poker Face singer had hired out the whole bar and made sure it was stocked with Armand de Brignac champagne and extra supplies of Jack Daniel’s. My source adds: “Adam Lambert got a little over-excited while dancing and bashed his head on the ceiling. And Gaga’s mum Cynthia looked red-faced at times – she kept muttering, ‘Stefani!’ under her breath. ” [/blockquote] ;D ;D ;D[/quote] So did the same people that went to Jake Shears's Chrome Hearts party went to Gaga's party? ??? "She invited along a bunch of celebrity pals – including Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, actress Kate Hudson, Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, supermodel Cindy Crawford " edit: When was this anyway? I don't really trust this article! :(

I agree. Not wanting to dredge it all up again, but really want to say some things about this. I have mixed feelings about the AMA performance -- there are some dreadful memories mixed up with that -- the anger in the performance, the less than stellar vocals, the fall, the tremendous expectations that were kind of twisted into what felt like a letdown, or worse, a disaster. But then on the other hand there was the ninja roll -- how the hell did he do that?! Incredible!! And the kiss, hot as hell, along with the bj simulation which together prompted the cancellations -- and the media attention. And led to the CBS Early Show appearance, which in my view was pretty damn triumphant. AND...led to a lot of international attention, and ultimately more fans than he lost. I think the pic of *the kiss* is absolutely an iconic moment (the expressions on their faces are AMAZING, imo), and part of Adam's growing legend. It's been said here before, but I really think the AMA performance, painful as it was to live through it, led to Adam being where he is today. It's incredible to me, especially in retrospect, to look at how Adam salvaged what could have been a disaster. His instincts were so strong, so right on -- both on stage, and in interviews afterwards. Really impressive. And an irrevocable part of his story. But it isn't his whole story and I think it will be tragic if this is what he is known for and remembered for. That whole scene was a moment in time - what about the whole man, Adam. I hate it that PEOPLE and others continue to perpetuate that false "one-trick-pony" picture representation of Adam. I look forward to the time that Adam is not known soley to new fans, or many older ones, for the AMA antics and it is known that he is so much bigger and so much more than that angry, hostile finger-at-the-end performance. I personally think there's NO danger of the AMAs being the only thing he's remembered for. I admit it still bothers me that some people I know ONLY watched that performance and refuse to watch anything else...but screw 'em. He doesn't need those fans. One of the reasons I'm inordinately thrilled by the marketing of the GNT CD/DVD in so many places is exactly for this reason -- maybe some people who wrote him off will be intrigued and give him a second chance. It may take some people in the media longer to come around, but I have faith that they will.

This afternoon we were discussing the use of Adam's image and I pointed out that Adam's image is copyrighted. So no one need put their names or symbols on acquired pictures b/c it is meaningless. Even if you take the picture yourself, you have limited use of that picture. Here is the license agreement from Wire Image. No one need be telling you that you have to give them (the blogger) credit. The agreement clearly states that property rights are not transferred. And it looks to me that the credit is to be given to Wire Image, not the blog owner. www.wireimage.com/help.aspx?sk=HelpBuyers#LicenseAgreementThis is from ninni's page. "Disclaimer: adam-pictures.com is a non-profit fansite. All images belong to their respective owners. No copyright infringement intended. If you would like something to be removed please send an e-mail." Ninni in no way said absolutely nothing about credits. She is doing a great job collecting pics. She is a great fun who wants to share the pics with other fans. The ONLY thing she said is it would be nice to acknowledge her efforts when posting a pic taken from her site crop it and make it look like it is something new. And she said this cause some people take the photos from her site and crop it just the face of Adam and present them like it's a new pic. EDIT What I'm trying to say is simply being polite here.Nothing else.No laws or anything.Just being polite.

It's an iconic moment but if it's remembered, it'll be because he is known for so much more. When people think of Madonna, a lot of them think about her rolling around the stage in a wedding dress or wearing a cone bra. Those are just two of her defining moments/images. But the reason we remember those moments is because she was relevant for a very long time. Had she been a flash in the pan and disappeared, we wouldn't have reason to reminisce about those days. Adam kissing Tommy is a defining moment. IMO, the fact that it's still being brought out is a testament to his relevancy. Sure, some people will use that image against him just as people thought Madonna was vulgar. But overall, I think it's a net positive.

midwifespal thanks for sharing your story I (at least) hadn't heard it before. And knowing you, I'm sure you argued the fans case to that conflicted suit passionately, fairly, and articulately.
Sometimes I'm glad I didn't discover Adam until after idol because I escaped some of the same slings and arrows of fortune, and am free of the emotional battle scars. The AMA's are when I heard about Adam, and the performance is what got me interested in him--what I saw of it was a fuzzy youtube (no finger) and a lot of press coverage which immediately put me on his side. I bought the album before even really hearing more than a youtube of mad world just to show political support. Somewhere in there I saw the FYE video (hello sexxay!!) and started falling down the rabbit hole.
