I read some posts yesterday about it being a slow news day?!?! I am having a hard time keeping up. So perhaps we need to redefine "slow".

Is there a reason why people think there will be an Idol leak before the Holiday Weekend? That would be a bit odd.

I think the importance of the Nigel contract deal being struck is being overstated. He already agreed to come back and FOX (Kevin Reilly) already said they were going to sign him and he was been an active part of the team working on the Judge selection for months.

Regarding Adam's tweets ---

Mom may be his real mom, or Shoshanna, or DMG, or Sauli, or awake Adam -- but I really doubt it was RCA.

And I really think that the Adam's BS comment was a general statement and not related to the Idol tweet -- because he has said basically the same thing in interviews. And he did not even say he was BSing.....

He specifically referenced his entire twitter feed -- so I blame Anthro!

On the youtube version of this Q + A that was posted before I could hardly understand the questions and some of the answers because of the noise in the room! ;D

I know nothing. Nada.

But, I definitely think that the tweet about BS was in reference to his "Mom" tweet. I imagine he got multiple tweets from fans telling him to be true to who he is, and not let mom tell him what to do at 30 years old.

As to all the rest, I woke up with butterflies in my stomach, excited and anxious about the Idol announcement. Damn! I am WAAAAAY to invested in Adam's career. But, I saw the tweet deletion as a positive sign that Adam has the gig. What else would require him to go back and delete what was a wonderfully spontaneous, witty, fun series of tweets? No way fans would be offended by those tweets. It had to be in response to possible adverse reactions from the suits who took offense to NM's tweets earlier. I interpreted it as "cleaning house" and "sprucing up" before company comes over. Or touching up your hair and make-up before someone takes your picture.

With the judges' rounds having to start very soon, I cannot believe that Idol doesn't have the judges panel decided. Add to that Adam had a "great, productive day" which I think entailed more than working out, eating right and shopping. He seems to be in a very positive place, and eager to communicate with his fans. So, I am gonna believe thru one more frickin' long weekend, as I agree that Idol won't officially announce over the holiday. But, come Tuesday, I better see Adam's name in bright lights and his beautiful smile reflecting the flashes of a hundred cameras when they make the official announcement that they have THE BEST JUDGE OF ANY REALITY TALENT SHOW OF ANY SEASON.
