I know nothing. Nada. But, I definitely think that the tweet about BS was in reference to his "Mom" tweet. I imagine he got multiple tweets from fans telling him to be true to who he is, and not let mom tell him what to do at 30 years old. As to all the rest, I woke up with butterflies in my stomach, excited and anxious about the Idol announcement. Damn! I am WAAAAAY to invested in Adam's career. But, I saw the tweet deletion as a positive sign that Adam has the gig. What else would require him to go back and delete what was a wonderfully spontaneous, witty, fun series of tweets? No way fans would be offended by those tweets. It had to be in response to possible adverse reactions from the suits who took offense to NM's tweets earlier. I interpreted it as "cleaning house" and "sprucing up" before company comes over. Or touching up your hair and make-up before someone takes your picture. With the judges' rounds having to start very soon, I cannot believe that Idol doesn't have the judges panel decided. Add to that Adam had a "great, productive day" which I think entailed more than working out, eating right and shopping. He seems to be in a very positive place, and eager to communicate with his fans. So, I am gonna believe thru one more frickin' long weekend, as I agree that Idol won't officially announce over the holiday. But, come Tuesday, I better see Adam's name in bright lights and his beautiful smile reflecting the flashes of a hundred cameras when they make the official announcement that they have THE BEST JUDGE OF ANY REALITY TALENT SHOW OF ANY SEASON. I don't know if anyone mentioned this but I just heard on WPLJ that Enrique just cancelled the balance of his tour with JLo. Well that doesn't sound good to me :( :( On the other hand. I've been thinking (whick isn't too often 8-) Nikki tweeted out something big was in the air (paraphasing here) and her fans are going to shit themselves. Well we've pretty much assumed she's in. THen how come Adam hasn't dropped a hint? If she was 'allowed to" then why not a hint from him if this was in the bank???????????????? and I don't believe for a monent that they are still deciding on judges. More and more it seems that Enrique has that seat. bummer |

Guess I'm tired of guessing and guessing and speculating and wondering and going weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks with no concrete news about stuff and then everyone always says "I'll believe it only when Adam says it's true/it's false..." or "I won't believe it until Adam confirms it..." but then Adam, himself, gets all cutesy and says " yeah I suppose it doesn't always translate over twitter. Guess I guess" and I'm like WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN AND NO, I DON'T WANT TO GUESS ANYMORE I'M FUCKING TIRED OF GUESSING and as y'all know I don't do twitter but I've decided if I ever DO decide to do twitter I'm not even gonna follow Adam cause I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO ALWAYS KEEP GUESSING CAUSE MY ANXIETY LEVEL GOES UP AND IT JUST GIVES AN INDUSTRIAL-STRENGTH CHUNKEY-SIZED HEADACHE!!!! I'm not a hand-wringer or beset with angst but at this point, for me, after the teases going back months and now having him say he's bullshitting fans, well, I'm irritated. It's not cute or amusing any more. Just irritating. Or as my sister says, "All foreplay and no follow-through makes a woman cranky." Regarding Idol -- what "teases" is Adam responsible for? Am I forgetting some? So far, Adam has said it's a beautiful rumor, it is possible, he would like to do it, and he does not know the decision. Most/all of the "teases" have come from fans -- not from Adam. For example, a few fans decided that Idol would announce early this week -- Monday or Tuesday. Turned out to be not true. Fans found that TMZ comeback quote and connected it to Idol judges and Adam. It was not related to either. Adam made a comment in Oklahoma during the WinStar concert about being back in the area soon. He never said anything that linked that to Idol. Fans connected that to Idol. It could be another concert for all we know or something else. Adam did not do side-by-side photos of Adam looking down to prove he was not telling the truth in an interview. Fans did it. ETC. --- I think it is really important to separate between the fan posts/tweets and what has actually been said/tweeted by Adam. If you are on the "Adam knows he has this and got it in July and is just lying to us cause he can't tell us" team, fine. But IF HE DOES NOT GET IDOL, don't blame Adam for teasing us about it --- because he really hasn't been teasing anyone. --- I am on team possible and I think the odds for Adam getting an Idol judge slot have gone up in the past week.
I used to think he was a long-shot. Now I think the odds are about even he could get it.
They have Mariah, Nicki and Keith Urban. They almost certainly want 2 men. (Scratch Miley, Fergie, etc.) Nick Jonas is off to X-Factor. Hip-Hop is covered with Mariah. (So scratch Kanye, Diddy, etc.) That leaves Enrique (Latin audience appeal) and Adam in the mix -- or someone who is not being talked about. (maybe a rocker Slash, Bret Michaels, or a Brit). And yes, I think Adam would be great! But this is not the only path for him.
This is probably going to be 2 more weeks -- since they are likely to announce only after they have all the deals done and on top of The Voice premiere. |

Enrique was only doing the North American part of the tour -- announced in late June. Posted here 2 weeks ago and several times since. |

I don't know if anyone mentioned this but I just heard on WPLJ that Enrique just cancelled the balance of his tour with JLo. I couldn't resist googling this ... apparently the tour was long scheduled to conclude this weekend anyway. He and JLo cancelled the final tour date on Sunday in Orlando, apparently because of poor ticket sales. Me, I don't think it's significant one way or another. |
