As we come closer to the end of the Idol mystery I've been thinking a lot about my role as a fan. IF Adam DOESN'T get the judge position, here is my pledge: I will recognize that it was an honor to just be on the list of those considered for the highest exposure gig on tv. I will not whine all over the internet and twitterverse--'cause that is sure not what Adam needs or wants. I will not be all over his butt (or his team's) about what is next because I know they are working hard to sell him to a tough market. I will remember all he has accomplished in a short time. I will love him no matter if the world joins me or not. I will remember that music and performance are in his soul and he will never stop singing. I will be happy, as will he, as long as he has that. That being said, I am still on team #ibelieve!...but I am not out of touch with reality. And if he DOES get it, I will be prepared for the fun as well as another possible round of homophobic comments on the internet. WARNING--do not read some other AI fan sites or comments sections on other outlets. I don't read MJs, etc. and I'm not going to start. TODAY SHOW just played the E!News video about AI judge's (Randy) that was already posted from yesterday. As far as the homophobic comments.. it wasn't that long ago that hate was directed at other folks attempting to break into music,TV etc. There was a time that a Mariah Carey or a Nicki M. couldn't sing on' white' radio or TV. There was a time,not long ago,that only white performers could sing' black 'music on radio.Motown helped to change all that. The more exposure,the less hate over time. It's the unknown and misunderstood that often leads to fear & bigotry.Again preaching to the choir.. LOL Adam is an alumni of the show and has been on quite a few times,even as a mentor, after he came in second.So I can't see why there would ever be any major dissent over his being a judge.I believe the show's ratings went up when Adam was on. If our guy gets the Idol gig,he will be fine no he will be great,no matter what some may say. To add, I've been reading lots of the comments on different blogs and I have seen very positive remarks about Adam,not many positives about NM. |

PEOPLE! ADAM IS PERFORMING TODAY!!!! I am waiting for pics/vids/reviews... hope they will come! (and I don't care if it comes from a naked dude or a bumblebee-ish old lady). Remember - Last time we got a code piece ;D What will today bring - on the wings of the blue moon??  |

First Time Ever I Saw You Face was our wedding song! :wub: Got married in a Catholic church and we had to edit the lyrics a bit, but we won the battle with our priest and got our soloist to sing it!

So who will fill in the fourth judging spot? We have been told that Kayne West is out of the running and Nick Jonas probably will not take on the fourth chair as well. Someone very likely to take the spot is Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe, who may take over the reigns as the "British judge." Luckily he has plenty of practice as a judge from his work on So You Think You Can Dance. What we do know is that the fourth judge is definitely a wild card.
ETAStill looking for a reason to delete this. Ooooooo, no Nigel won't do this. But, I love that it hints that they need someone in the Idol family for the 4th position. The E News video did also. Sooo, hmmmm, now who could that perfect person from the Idol family be? I wonder?!! ;D |
