Cassie..I also would kill to hear Adam's version of Bring him home. When my mother was ill, I used to drive from my home to hers almost every weekend...the drive took 2 hours and 10 minutes..just long enough to listen to the soundtrack of Les Mis....I did that both ways as a rule [tho confess I sometimes listened to Miss Saigon or The Phantom or Evita].
I would love your opinion on why I find this version so much more moving than the one you posted...even though I agree his voice is almost perfection...in fact, perhaps that is why I prefer this... still, I would truly love to hear what Adam would do with this....

So who will fill in the fourth judging spot? We have been told that Kayne West is out of the running and Nick Jonas probably will not take on the fourth chair as well. Someone very likely to take the spot is Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe, who may take over the reigns as the "British judge." Luckily he has plenty of practice as a judge from his work on So You Think You Can Dance. What we do know is that the fourth judge is definitely a wild card.
ETAStill looking for a reason to delete this. "It ain't so". And as far as I can tell, this is actually not a news report but a personal blog site. Also, being on the panel for SYTYCD totally disqualifies him. I'm sure neither show would be happy with the prospect of a double appearance. |

Odd choice perhaps, but I would like Adam to cover Dire Straits Brothers in Arms IMO the most heartbreaking antiwar song of all. Would not show off his range, but would love to hear the emotion he would bring. Also it would be a reminder that a lot of brothers in arms have been gay.

I bring this one up every time someone asks what song Adam should cover. If he sang it, I would melt into a pool of Abdul. I find Linda Ronstadt comparable to Adam in that she has a great range and can sing soft and sweet and vulnerable, or she can belt out strong, solid notes. She's very adaptable to different styles of music: she's done rock, pop, country, and big-band era songs. She even used to perform barefoot a lot!
Wonder what she is doing now -- ever listen to any of the Emmy Lou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton stuff? There's another song I'll have to search for that Linda does that Adam would really nail. Personally, I'd love to hear him sing a duet. |
